Everyone on the TME team loves cashmere. They talk about how soft it is and that it’s their absolute favorite fabric for sweater weather. I, however, am not a fan. And believe me, I have tried A LOT of cashmere sweaters.
While I wish I was a Team Cashmere Gal, I find it to be itchy and uncomfortable. This is likely because I have a slew of allergies and am allergic to just about everything under the sun. My last panel of allergy tests identified 200+ allergies.
So, I unfortunately have to admit defeat when it comes to cashmere. Instead, I’m always on the hunt for seriously soft sweaters made from different fabrics. The one I’m wearing above is a recent find from Anthro, and I am in LOVE.
These Sweaters Are Cute, Soft & Not Cashmere
By and large, the top non-cashmere recommendation from our team is J.Crew’s Supersoft Yarn. These sweaters are seriously so soft and come in a variety of colors and patterns. What’s amazing is that they are often on super sale, and you can usually find them for such an incredible price. I personally haven’t had a chance to try any silk blend sweaters, but have my eye on this one by EILEEN FISHER. It looks so incredibly soft, and I love a good deep v-neck!
Here’s what else I’ve found on my hunt for seriously soft sweaters…
1 / J. Crew Mockneck Supersoft Yarn Sweater
This is the TME favorite! It’s made with a blend of different yarns and is beyond cozy for cold weather.
2 / Anthropologie Kendall Cropped Sweater
This sweater is most like my typical style. It’s slightly cropped and has balloon sleeves! I find it very soft and love how easy it is to style. It comes in a ton of different colors too!
3 / J. Crew Turtleneck Leopard Sweater In Supersoft Yarn
If you like a leopard moment, then this supersoft sweater is for you! I think it will pair beautifully with a slip skirt or pair of black jeans.
4 / Estelle Charlie Knit Sweater
OMG, this sweater is beyond soft. Every time I put it on, I can’t stop touching the fabric. The sweater is made of wispy haired yarn and is seriously the softest thing ever.
5 / EILEEN FISHER V-Neck Silk Sweater
*Sustainable Pick* This is the sweater I mentioned that I have my eye on! I absolutely love my silk pillows and face masks, and am certain I will love this too!
6 / Anthropologie Ilaria Quarter Zip Pullover
Nothing better than a cozy quarter zip!
7 / EILEEN FISHER Organic Cotton Blend Boucle Top
*Sustainable Pick* This sweater is made from a fluffy Italian boucle yarn and organic cotton blend. It’s an easy-fitting mock neck and looks so cozy.
8 / Pilcro Maggie V-Neck Sweater
Even from the pictures, this sweater looks beyond soft! It fits the bill for my sweater preferences: v-neck with balloon sleeves! It comes in a beautiful vibrant blue color too.
9 / Prana Polar Escape Half Zip Sweater
This sweater is made from super-soft fleece material. It was one of the things I ordered in my recent Backcountry haul, and while I loved how soft and cozy it felt, it did run small for me so I will need to order a larger size.
Tell me, have you found any seriously soft sweaters that you love?! Stay warm y’all!
