Oooooh! The Saks Friends and Family Event includes so many of our favorite splurge-worthy brands — the ones that make long-lasting investment pieces. We’re talking FRAME flare denim, Stuart Weitzman wedges, fabulous FRAME spring sweaters, and some very special bags to add to the look from Loeffler Randall.
Saks Has The Spring Outfit I Can’t Wait To Wear
For a list of my current favorites (including my most-worn MOTHER denim!), scroll down to the bottom of this post to shop my complete edit of the Saks Friends & Family sale. However, if you are interested in my very top picks — the pieces I’m especially crushing on — keep reading. I decided to go a bit fancier with this look (well hello there, shiny gold purse) with a slightly classic vibe for longevity. A few pearl buttons and dark wash flares will always look chic.

I also decided to take my go-to “I-feel-pretty” outfit formula (a special top, flare jeans, pretty shoes–post coming soon) in a monochromatic direction. Soft blue seemed especially appropriate for spring (but really this whole sentence is a desperate plea for SOMEONE to notice and comment on my pretty blue toenails…they are making me VERY happy these days. GOLD STAR.)
FRAME Recycled Cashmere & Wool Puff-Sleeve Sweater
This FRAME sweater is stunning in person–a beautiful shade of blue for spring. It also has JUST the right amount of puff in the sleeves to add a feminine vibe without overwhelming princess-ness. I’m a huge fan of this shade of blue (especially with denim), but it’s available in caramel heather and noir as well. Like most FRAME sweaters, I sized up and the hem hits just at the right spot for high-rise jeans.

FRAME Le High Flare Denim
If you’re looking for a classic flare with tons of stretch, these are your jeans. Super soft, super stretchy, with a classic cut and easy-to-wear dark wash. The FRAME Le High Flares have a 35-inch inseam, so you taller ladies are set…or you shorter ladies (like me) can do some hemming or hacking off (with scissors for a raw hem) yourselves.

Stuart Weitzman Wedges
Wedges are often my answer if I want something fancier than clogs, but still want to be able to walk a mile or two. These particular Stuart Weitzmans are beautiful and a style I would wear for years. Such a good option if you like to keep to a monochromatic look with denim. They’d also be perfect with all the pretty flouncy spring and summer dresses and skirts.

Loeffler Randall Bag
A fancy bag, of course, works perfectly when you have a special occasion, but what I love about this Loeffler Randall bag is I would absolutely pair it with distressed denim, a white tee, and clogs to wear for anything fun outdoors these days because….why not?? I am all about making use of all the special things in my closet this spring.

Gestuz Puff-Sleeve Cardigan & Jennifer Zeuner Earrings
Add in some chic earrings and a puff-sleeve cardigan (or leather jacket or denim jacket) and you’re good to go. The earrings are VERY lightweight, and you know how I LOVE a good cardigan. The pearl buttons and puff-sleeves give this sweater a dressier feel, but the alpaca wool actually keeps you warm for cooler spring evenings.

photo credit: Redfield Photography -Marisa, you are BEYOND a pleasure to work with. Thank you again.
Linzi, you’re hair looks amazing! It always looks cute but I love the longer length. 🙂
Thank you!!! I’ve always struggled with growing my hair out because it’s thin and just gets kind of limp and gross or frizzy and out of control depending on the weather…. but APPARENTLY if you use product regularly and occasionally try and “do” your hair…it helps. Who knew! Ha!
Oh no! This post is soooo good. My new found resolve to spend less on jeans and shoes is evaporating. Thank you Linzi! Seriously, this post is very helpful; you look lovely in everything. Cheers.
Thank you so much, Anne.
Linzi, you look just great! Love, love , love that purse! A special bag just makes an outfit.
Thank you, Valerie. And YES re the bag! I feel like this bag would make ANYTHING look amazing. So fun.
What was this post about? I’m too distracted by how absolutely fantastic Linzi looks. Slayin’ it, girl!
Too funny, Jennifer. Thank you! That sweater and bag in particular definitely made me feel pretty “glam”! I needed it that week.
Linzi, you are always one of my favs, yet this may be my favorite post of all time! One question: do you find the FRAME Le High Flare TTS?
Awww…thank you, Kacee. Yes…short answer TTS. Long answer…I have a pair of Frame Le High Flares from a few years back that were 27’s, but I’ve gone up a size in most of my jeans. I can squeeze in to the 27’s, but the 28’s are definitely a better fit. They’re VERY stretchy, though, so if you’re between sizes it might be worth going with the smaller size. Otherwise, I would go with your regular sizing. They’re really comfortable. But LONG….very very very long! Just be ready to hem if you’re a shortie like me.
