One of my favorite ways to waste time on the internet is by taking personality quizzes. Anyone else? This Aquarian jumps at any chance to study different personalities, so this post is quite fitting and right up my alley.
I know it’s typically Geminis who are said to have multiple personalities that shine through, but don’t put it past your Aquarian friends. We love trying on different vibes, and if you have an Aquarian friend, you know this. I may have made all of my friends dress up in costume (in February, mind you) for my 40th birthday a couple of years ago. Haha. They love me for it?

Um, this may have been the most fun I’ve had in a while. I was browsing Nordstrom as one does (all the time) and found the most fun options for staying warm, chic and well-dressed this winter. S said my picks kinda seemed like different personalities did the choosing (no surprise there) and here we are. Love it!
3 Coats & Boots Outfits To Match Your Style Personality
I wish I had the chops to offer you a full coat personality quiz here, but instead, I’m gonna just stick to my wheelhouse and show you some gorgeous coat and boot combos. This air sign rarely ‘stays in my lane’ but seeing as ‘my lane’ is fashion around these parts, I’m OK with it this time.
So, pick your vibe here, friends. Are you more retro? More sophisticated? More sporty? Or are you more like me — all of them. As you can tell, we’re not too-stickler for rules around here.
Coats & Boots Outfit 1: Boho With A Retro Vibe
This coat. I love it. It’s Topshop y’all, so hop on over! These kinds of finds tend to go quickly. This one has a super-cozy faux sherpa lining that is the ultimate thing you want to keep you stylish and warm right now. Trust me. It’s all I want to wear! It’s got that retro vibe I love, AND it’s reversible!
Don’t miss these rad Free People snake boots, either. They are one of my favorite recent finds. They are so cool and go so well with my current favorite straight leg Madewell Slim Demi jeans, as well as this awesome BlankNYC Madison crop pair I’ve raved about since this summer.
Sizing Notes: I typically size up in Topshop pieces, but this coat runs more true to size or even slightly big. Wearing a US 6, which Nordstrom indicates fits like a 2-4. The jeans are true to size and have stretch, so also size down if between. The boots are true Euro sizing. I’m a US 8 and am wearing a 39.

Coats & Boots Outfit 2: Sophisticated & Chic
I will say, Gwen & Julieta were my muses for this combo. They always look so gorg in their pretty tailored coats every winter. I made it ‘me‘ with the ripped jeans, but kept it chic with a really beautiful leopard kitten heel bootie. This coat is almost ivory, almost blush. It’s gorgeous. I love the nod to the trench detail, and the color is what makes this one sing.
These Charles David leopard boots are a real find, and they’re on sale! The heel is low, but they’re still so feminine and flattering…so the perfect date night shoe. They’re a faux calf hair that is gorgeous in person and looks really luxe.
Sizing Notes: The coat runs just a little big, so perhaps size down if you’re between sizes. I’m solidly in between a 4 and 6 in coats and could have gone with the smaller size here. The boots run true to size.

Coats & Boots Outfit 3: Sporty & Casj
This year I went as Pumpkin Spice for Halloween, but this combo says more Sporty Spice to me. My soul lies somewhere between Scary & Sporty, and I think they’d both be down for these boots.
But first, notice the adorable puffer coat…that is also water-resistant! SO good. I love the shape of the hood and how it sits a bit higher like a mock-neck. So rad. I can’t even tell you how comfy cushiony these sneaker boots are. They’re like moon boots and sherpa boots came together into the coziest combo.

Chic, cozy, both? What’s your favorite boot vibe?
I could have covered a ton of other great coat personalities since they have so many gorgeous options at Nordstrom, always. I guess if I was being really practical, I would have included a raincoat option for my Pacific Northwest self, but hooray for a little bit more fun and interesting combos here. If you do need a raincoat, this one is the best I’ve ever had. The rain literally just runs away from it.
