If you haven’t yet heard of Verishop, you’re in for a treat. They’re like Shopbop, but with a killer selection of home and beauty, and a fashion edit that’s both tighter and more interesting. They do carry some of the familiar brands (Free People, Vince, etc.,) but just a few select pieces (so it’s never overwhelming) AND they have sustainable denim selection that’s to die for — some of the best selection of Levis, DL1961 and AGoldE we’ve found.
Verishop Is Totally Legit: 5 Fashion Finds I Highly Recommend
Verishop is committed to supporting as many sustainable businesses as possible, and they make it easy to filter on sustainability (and they do carry a few Black-owned businesses). They also have curated ‘shops,’ which I personally love to browse: The Responsible Shop, The Work From Home Shop, The Kitchen Essentials Shop, The Sleep Shop, The Sex Shop (ha!) — to name just a few.
They also offer free shipping that we’ve found is really fast, and free return shipping. Everything comes really nicely packaged, too, so sending a little something from Verishop will definitely feel like a gift.
OK. Enough gushing. Verishop is offering 25% off all fashion, and 10% off all home and beauty this weekend (including Oribe, FYI), so let’s just get to the try-ons. They’re GOOD.
Top 5 Pieces From Verishop
If interested, we’ve thrown up a little try-on video of these pieces on our IGTV channel — if you prefer to see them in action, so to speak. And now, a few months later, I have some thoughts/updates. As you’ll see, the pieces I’m wearing are — mostly — basics…just really, really good ones.
1. The Best Long-Sleeve White T-Shirt…Ever
This basic tee by x Karla is just…annoyingly good. Karla was Justin Beiber’s stylist, and after having to have tees custom made for him (with the exact fit he preferred), she realized that she didn’t love the t-shirt options available for her, either. So she created her own. The result is a perfectly tomboyish, nonchalantly cool white tee. It’s basic, but the kind of thing where it just looks…better, somehow, though you can’t quite put your finger on why.
2. A Lace Kimono-Style Jacket (To Dress Up T-Shirts)
I mean seriously: how fun is this piece??? If there’s one easy way to elevate a tshirt-and-jeans to festive holiday proportions…it’s this lace kimono-inspired jacket.
3. This Striped Cotton Sweater
I ordered this sweater because it was cute…but I also wondered — in part because of the metallic threads — that it would be itchy? Nope. Not in the slightest. The sweater is actually 100% cotton (including the metallic threads) and is both comfortable and shockingly cute on. This sweater has now become my winter version of a striped tee: whenever I would normally wear a striped tee (to make an outfit more interesting, when I need a classic combo with denim, etc.,) I’ve been reaching for this sweater, instead. Which, in 2020…means that I wear this thing with either really broken-in jeans or sweatpants. (Both work.)
4. Vince’s Boiled Cashmere Sweater
This Vince cashmere sweater is SO good that it made my list of The Best Cashmere Sweaters of 2021. It’s a good one. That said, this sweater has been sold out in the darker colors almost everywhere….so I was pretty thrilled to find the black still in stock at Verishop.
5. This Chunky Necklace
If you’ve been looking for a cool necklace to layer with your existing delicate necklaces…THIS ONE. The gold isn’t overly shiny or dark, and the asymmetrical design is just so freaking cool.
