Linen Button-Ups & Featherweight Jeans: Looks like Spring (Feels Like PJs)

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom.

This whole evolution in denim trends has me feeling a bit confused, not gonna lie. I’ve been on a mission, trying out numerous new styles, searching for the perfect balance: a pair that’s on-trend, but not too trendy…ones that fit my booty without being overly baggy…and comfort, to me, is an absolute must.

Now, I might have raved incessantly about these featherweight jeans for quite some time, but trust me, they live up to the hype. So when I stumbled upon them in this delightful lighter wash that’s perfect for spring, I couldn’t resist grabbing a pair immediately.

They tick off all the boxes I’ve been aiming for: a more modern silhouette that compliments my figure without overwhelming it and crafted from a fabric so luxuriously soft and lightweight it’s dubbed ‘featherweight’ (bonus points for being made with Lyocell, a sustainably-produced fiber). These have become my favorites for a reason.

Spring Style Combo: Featherweight Jeans & Linen Button-Ups

These jeans are basically the epitome of comfy-chic, seamlessly blending style and comfort. They really do feel like pjs, but that high waist and wide-leg silhouette keeps them polished by elongating the legs and accentuating the waistline. And even though there’s no stretch to the featherweight fabric, they feel incredibly light and soft against the skin, making them ideal for all-day wear (especially in warmer weather).

Lately, I’ve been really into pairing them with a soft linen button-up (low-key channeling those denim-on-denim Canadian Tuxedo vibes). Specifically, this one from Caslon comes in a ton of colors and patterns and is blended with rayon for a super soft rather than scratchy feel. The whole look just kind of feels effortless but polished at the same time. (And the comfort factor is next level.)

I adore how this button-up shirt can be neatly tucked in without any annoying bulk hanging around in my pants. The way it falls is just right—no awkward pulling of buttons across my chest. Plus, its relaxed fit means it looks great buttoned up or left open like a jacket. I experimented with both sizes, small and extra small, and found that the small fit perfectly (true to size!).

Add Walkable Sandals + A Charming Statement Bag

Also, I’ve got to give a shoutout to these amazing sandals I stumbled upon! They have that timeless, classic silhouette I adore, but with a playful twist in a denim hue that screams spring and summer. They’re less formal than black yet way more intriguing than your usual nude shades. The 3″ heel is the perfect walkable height, too.

And finally, after admiring Shana’s Clare V. bag for years (okay, maybe I’ve borrowed it a few times), I finally decided to get one for myself. There’s just an irresistible charm to this little bag—it complements every outfit, effortlessly transitions from casual to dressy, and holds all my essentials with ease. (And I love that you can switch out the handles!)

Cheers to comfy spring styles!
