I have two boys and I pretty much only buy them Carters and Oshkosh. I like to stay brand specific because kid sizes are so inconsistent between brands. Plus, you simply can’t beat their prices.
I was glad to see you had some Plae shoes on your list. I love that brand because they are such high quality, my oldest can wear them and then I youngest doesn’t mind getting hand me downs because he can pick brand new Velcro tabs and make them his own.
Does anyone know of a “responsible” brand of kid clothing that isn’t crazy expensive. Something kind of like Everlane but for kids. I don’t mind paying a bit more for something more “green” and ethical.
Hi Christy, maybe look at “tea” brand kids clothes. The clothes we have from them have held up amazingly through my three kids and I wouldn’t feel bad passing them down too a friend! And the company is more globally “responsible” and ethically focused than the fast fashion brands.
I like Lands End for boys pants. The Iron Knees are great and they have slim sizes. Boden is my go to for something fun. Gap is also great for pants and graphic tees. These brands have been great for passing down through four boys.
I really dislike how it is almost impossible to find longer length “girl” shorts, so I buy my daughter shorts in the boy section, and H&M has some decent shorts in their “boy” section that seem very unisex. If your girl is small enough to be in a situation where she will need a 5 point harness on (carseat or stroller) her poor little legs will get chaffed by the strap. It’s really disheartening how hard it is to find longer shorts for girls.
I agree, I am thinking of cutting some pants and rolling them to get that longer length. My toddler girl has a few boy bottom and the style just seems so much more comfortable.
Such cute picks! And I absolutely love Plae shoes! They’re so durable, come in amazing colors and they’re easy for kiddos to put on/take off by themselves. AND you can throw them in the wash and they come out looking brand new!
Aah obsessed with that rainbow swimsuit!! I really want to get it for mine, but she already has 2 swimsuits and I’m supposed to be on a spending freeze as she’s pretty much set for summer clothes…Buying our first house, stupid adulting etc. My mil bought my 4 yr old those Plae shoes in pink and they’re really great, would def recommend.
Great, good to know. Thank you! I’d love to snag some of the rubber Plae shoes but they sell out so fast!
Cute capsules!! I’ve never tried Plae, but have only heard great things!! My boys live in Natives during the summer…from the hot flooring at the splash pad to the scorching sand at the beach! I LOVE Next for fun tees and interesting bottoms. Happy (almost) Summer!
Same, love Natives! Will have to check out Next. Thanks!
