Parachute makes my all-time favorite bedding: linen. We have this white linen duvet from Parachute, a few white linen fitted sheets, and these linen pillowcases (side note: I actually sleep on this silk one, but everything else is Parachute’s linen).
If you’ve never tried Parachute’s linen bedding before, it’s nothing short of…amazing. The bedding feels comfy and luxurious next to your skin, gets softer and softer with each wash, and the sheets are impossibly strong. Seriously — they’ll last YEARS. So…when I realized that Parachute just launched a collection of robes and loungewear…I immediately ordered. I mean…if they’re half as good as Parachute’s sheets, then The World Needs To Know.
Parachute Home’s Waffle Lounge Set Is Delightfully Cozy
Parachute’s loungewear set is made from a 100% cotton, mini-waffle weave fabric…which means that these are — yup — thermal PJs. The cotton thermal fabric has a texture that feels ah-mazing on my skin. It’s warm and cozy, yet…almost…lightweight? So I find myself reaching for this set when it’s cold…yet not overheating.
I had pretty low expectations about fit (this is a company that makes bedding after all) but was pleasantly surprised. While many other PJ’s cuts are starting to lean to a high-waist silhouette (many who use elastic waistbands I personally find too tight), Parachute keeps this set easy. The pants are mid-rise, and the waistband isn’t overly tight. The bottoms have some length, too (I’m only 5’3″).
But I really like the cut of the top. It feels slouchy and cool, not sloppy. The armholes for the sleeves are cut a bit higher than other PJ sets, so the overall vibe is tomboyish and flattering (yet still really comfortable). I was actually really surprised by this unexpectedly chic detail.
Overall, there’s something oddly luxurious about this particular cotton thermal PJ set. I can’t quite put my finger on it…but I do know this set is the first thing I reach for when it’s time to cuddle up after dinner, and the set you’ll often find me in on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Both would make freaking fantastic gifts, guys. Highly recommend.
ps. In years past, Parachute has had only two sales a year…but Black Friday is one! No idea if they’ll include loungewear in their sale this year, but fingers crossed.
Oh, hey, Pinners…this one’s for you!
