Zack didn’t really pack clothes for our trip to North Carolina. He was more worried about bringing the right tools, (he’s working on his sister’s house while we’re here), and left packing to the last minute.
I myself started three weeks early…a bit of a yin/yang situation there. So when we stopped at Nordstrom on the way down, I suggested he look for a few things while I walked around with the kids.
The first thing he found? These lightweight twill pants from PAIGE. I mean, I didn’t expect Zack to find a pair of pants that are about $100 more than what he normally wears, but he loves them. And Shana used to tell me “if you love it, buy it “… so we did. I mean, if they’re the only pants he’s wearing down here in NC…cost per wear is going to be really good, right?
Better Than Joggers: These Brushed Twill Pants Are Zack-Approved

The pants are perfect for travel. Zack wore them for about five days straight when he first got them; he slept in them that first night, too — by accident, of course, but if that’s not a testament to their next-level comfort, I don’t know what is.
These pants are incredibly soft: the perfect blend of comfort and style. They feel like joggers but look more like “real pants.” They easily go from casual strolls on the beach to dinner and drinks (not to mention long car rides).

Zack also found this waffle crewneck from Vuori (we both love everything Vuori) that’s like a thicker shirt/lightweight sweatshirt perfect for layering.

And I actually found this Goodlife t-shirt when Ozzie hid underneath the racks and I had to find him (suuuuper fun game, bud). It’s really soft. I love being able to feel the fabrics in person. It also comes in a ton of colors all with that over-dyed yarn that gives it a bit of a vintage vibe.

Zack’s favorite part is the longer length. He often has trouble finding t-shirts that don’t shrink up after one wash and become too short, but this one held up nicely (in the dryer, too). I like the curved hem that looks good tucked in or out of pants.
And leave it to Zack to find a color combo that I would never think of and make it work. This light green twill shirt with the navy pants and grey t-shirt…they look so good together. He’s wearing the shirt as a kind of lightweight jacket down here in NC (and I’ve borrowed it multiple times). The mint looks surprisingly good with so many colors.

So I guess not packing actually worked in Zack’s favor (or maybe that was his plan all along)! Either way, I think he looks pretty dang good.
(Must be the pants.)
XOXO,
