If you’re looking to switch up your work wardrobe for summer, try adding a pair of white jeans into the rotation.
Chic and sophisticated, white jeans can lighten up some of your year-round office basics (think: blazers, printed blouses and lightweight sweaters) and make them feel fresh for the warmer season.
Lighten Up Summer Work Outfits With White Jeans: 5 Office-Ready Looks
Because white jeans can give the appearance of tailored pants, they work better than regular blue jeans in a professional setting. The key is choosing a (non-distressed) pair in a straight, flared or wide-leg style in a fabric that isn’t too thin or too sheer. (I just did a post on my new favorite white jeans from Marine Layer.)
Need styling inspiration? We’ve got you covered. Here are five ways to style your white jeans for the office this summer.
Office Outfit 1: White Jeans, A Light-Blue Blazer + Neutral Accessories
Add a soft pop of color with a light-blue blazer and neutral accessories. Linen blazers keep it light and summery, and a chambray blazer would work just as well while keeping things a little more casual.
Office Outfit 2: White Jeans, A Beige Lady Jacket + Gold Details
OK, so, “beige lady jacket” doesn’t quite have the best ring to it, but I’m loving these cropped-jackets-as-shirts for summer workwear. The gold buttons and accents on the accessories keep the entire look elevated, and I love the gold details on the shoes.
Office Outfit 3: White Jeans + Classic Black-&-White
Black-and-white is always a classic, and I love this gorgeous (sustainable) printed blouse from Reformation with the puff sleeves and tie-neck detail. Adding this black Cinq à Sept blazer (my favorite — it’s lightweight/loosely tailored, making it perfect for summer) keeps it professional, and the cap-toe shoes are just fun.
Office Outfit 4: White Jeans, A Linen Vest + Neutral Shoes
I love the look of an off-white linen vest against the crisp white of the jeans (especially with the jewelry the model is wearing below). Keeping the neckline high enough is obviously key for work, but a cami layered underneath would work as well.
Office Outfit 5: White Jeans, A Cashmere T-Shirt, A Sweater-Blazer & White Loafers
Gray, camel and white make up one of my favorite color palettes that works especially well for summer. The T-shirt is cashmere, which helps to keep the look from being too casual, and the sweater-blazer is perfect for air-conditioned office buildings (and it’ll fit perfectly in that Marc Jacobs tote bag for easy carrying).
