You may have noticed my newest bag obsession…the See By Chloe Hana Saddle bag I’ve been wearing in so many of my articles (see: how I’m wearing it with cowboy boots and with 90s-style jeans here.) I got it in this beautiful green shade a month or so ago, and it has already become my fall outfit-maker.

I mean, look at those gorgeous details. I’ve never owned such a beautifully classic bag with this level of detail. It’s just so pretty to stare at— haha — but also fun to carry. It adds such a great pop of fall color.

See By Chloe Hana Saddle Bag: The Luxe Crossbody I’m Swooning Over

Let’s be honest…the outfits are always my favorite part of a bag review, but don’t worry, I’ll get to those just after I give you the deets on why I love this bag so, so much.

First I wanted to show some up-close shots so you too could appreciate the gorgeousness that initially drew me in.

I love the gold hardware, the delicate knotting of the leather around the front metal ring, the tiny key charm, and the fact that the logo is minimal (I’m not really a fancy logo gal.)

The interior is a really soft, lovely sueded twill-type fabric that is easy on your belongings. I feel fine about slipping my sunglasses in here without a case.

I was using my phone for the photo here, but an iPhone (I have the 13 Pro) fits perfectly in one of the pockets, along with my keys, hand sanitizer (I like the slim options), and other essentials. The card slot holds 4-5 cards easily.

And perhaps my favorite part of any bag purchase I’ve made recently is the option to swap out the handles. I not only like the fun of changing out my purse handles, but I also love the gold hardware that adds some bling and a hint of toughness.

A gold chain strap would be fun to swap out on this bag.

Fall Outfit-Maker: How I’m Wearing The See By Chloe Hana Bag

Now we can talk about the outfits. Let’s start with how fun this bag looks in a variety of combos.

1. Over A Simple Black Dress

Love, love this bag over a simple black sweater dress here. It adds some structure, color and detail to the solid black dress, which it needs. I often use a crossbody to break up solid dresses or jumpsuits. It’s easy peasy to throw on over any simple dress like this to take it up a notch. My favorite, versatile simple black dress? This style.

2. With A Graphic Tee + Faux Leather Skirt

And here over a graphic tee too? Yup, it works. This outfit is a whole different vibe but the classic bag still works. I love pairing this dark green with the tomato red of the graphic tee design.

The texture of the See by Chloe bag is also a nice contrast to the shine of the faux leather. Sometimes mixing leathers is tricky, but here I’ve gone textured on the bag, smooth/shiny on the skirt, and then matte on the cowboy boots. If everything were shiny it wouldn’t work as successfully. I’m all about some unexpected combos, and I think this illustrates just that.

3. To Elevate An Oversized Sweater + Distressed Denim

And lastly, I adore this bag worn over my fun oversized Staud sweater. Again, the contrast here — in this case structured vs. oversized — is something I adore.

This purse elevates the whole look a little bit and also brings out the greens in the sweater. Fun, fun! This is the stuff I geek out over and I’m glad many of you do, too. Lol. I think this would fall into the category I’m loving right now that I’ve coined ‘fancy grunge.’

Finally, I’ve rounded up some other bags in See by Chloe’s Hana line…because there are some beauties!

You may have seen last week that Linzi got the smaller version of my bag in a pretty taupe. It is so adorable. I prefer how much mine is able to hold, but if you’re more minimalist than I am in what you carry around, you can definitely get away with the mini size.

And those loafers? Stahp. I adore them and want to get to wear with my destroyed denim.

I’ve been eyeing up so many things in See by Chloe’s collection these days. I have a post coming out soon about clog mules I prefer to the Birkenstock Boston mule and this shearling pair will be in the roundup. So cozy and also beautiful, yes?
