I think I can feel it, the beginning signs of spring.
The sun is noticeably hotter, the birds have been singing show tunes, and I find my body and brain craving more vitamin D (ahem, and vitamin “sea”).
I’m trying not to get too much ahead of myself, but seeing as how I just found my new weekend uniform/the best swimsuit cover-up ever, I’m feeling excited about the fresh season to come.
Vuori Did It Again: A Jumpsuit I Never Want To Take Off + Pretty Spring Leggings
Since the intense rains in Southern California have seemed to finally calm down, my guys and I are back into our weekend-morning jaunts at the beach: The husband hits up the waves, my little man and I run with the seagulls (he’s 2, and I swear he can run farther than I can), and the Falls Jumpsuit from Vuori is the only thing I’m wanting to reach for each time I get dressed to head out.
We all know + love Vuori’s famous buttery-soft Performance Joggers by now (not to mention, the fabulous boyfriend version), but have you ever wondered what it would be like to wear that same favorite material draped breezily over your entire body?
Uhm, because that’s the Vuori jumpsuit.
It feels almost like cheating to consider the jumpsuit as regular clothing (which it is) because it’s something I would easily curl up and nap in (heck, even zonk out for the entire night). It’s the comfort piece I want to reach for after a long refreshing shower, the “must-pack” item on any vacation, and although it’s not quite beach season yet, I can already tell it will make for The Perfect Cover-Up.
My only hesitation before grabbing the jumpsuit was the length. As someone who’s just under 5’10” with height mostly in my legs, I was worried it would fall short, but to my genuine surprise, I pulled on the jumpsuit, and I LOVED how it fit.
The body is generous in length, making it a fantastic option for longer torsos, but can also be cinched up with the drawstring and folded over in a darling way if there’s extra fabric (which I found to be comforting, and flattering for that area of my body).
I’m wearing a medium, and the legs of the jumpsuit reach down to my ankle bone for just the right look, but I imagine having the pants be longer and full length if you’re shorter than me would be so good.
These New Vuori Leggings Are Smoothing & Extremely Flattering
Vuori also just launched a new fabric, V1 Uplift, which is designed for premium lift + smoothing support (uh, yes, please). I scooped up the new Evolve Leggings made with this new material, and they’re extremely flattering (psst…there’s a matching bra too).
I’ve been slipping on the leggings when I get to sneak away for my own adventures to the beach, preferably long walks/jogs on the sand (because, whoa, there’s nothing quite like working out on sand). The leggings really do smooth out my rear end, shaping me in a way that makes my legs look strong and even, dare I say, toned.
The waistband on the Evolve Leggings is beautifully high, making me feel held in but not at all squeezed. And the color options? Swoon.
Vuori hit the mark with its new spring colors. It actually gave me pause for longer than usual when deciding on what to add to my cart, and I’m still clicking back wondering if I need to scoop up some more releases (like the Halo Bodysuit, hello?!?! GORGEOUS).
I did make sure to grab my all-time favorite Halo Performance Crop in a new color, as it’s easily been one of my most worn tank tops of the past year (the built-in bra makes it versatile, while the strappy back makes it stinkin’ CUTE).
Fit Notes: Wearing my true size in all pieces: a medium in the leggings and a large in the top!
