Some people get to the holiday season and plan fancy outfits for festive parties, while others become giddy for all the cozy loungewear and staying in.
It’s me — I’m “others.”
I’ve been in love with aerie for as long as I can remember. Hands down, aerie is one of the best places to turn for comfort clothes (and comfort style just so happens to be my speciality). I even have my mom hooked on them — and may or may not have tried stealing one of her aerie sweatshirts recently.

‘Tis The Season To Be Cozy: aerie’s Holiday Loungewear Is Comfy + Irresistible
While aerie does every season exceptionally well, it’s my personal fave to shop there during the holidays and stock up my winter wardrobe.
I mean, when there are sweaters with the word “buttercream” in the name, how can one resist?!
But more than just buttercream, all of the textures at aerie right now are GOOD. Waffle knit, velour, cozy fleece — they’re just begging for a holiday moviethon.
Add To Cart: aerie CozyUp Waffle Collection
I’m currently obsessed with all of aerie’s half-zip sweaters.
The waffle quarter zip is slightly oversized and super-stretchy (it’s actually made from aerie’s “best selling yarn” of the past two years!).
The sweater comes in a plethora of stunning neutrals, plus a gorgeous zing-of-a-red that would be stunning for Christmas. I paired the aerie Cable Lace Longline Bralette underneath, and it’s quite the match made in (comfort) heaven.
While I initially skipped the matching waffle pants because they weren’t available in the color navy, I’m now so mesmerized by the fabric that I think I just want any color (but warning: These pants have been going viral and are selling out online…here’s hoping for swift restocks!).
I DO, however, love pairing the waffle quarter zip with aerie’s Groove-On Rib Velour Flare Pant.
I’ve had a THING with flares lately, which is very new for me. I went through a season of hating the style (i.e., my entire life up until now) because regular pant inseams are typically too short and end above my ankle bone. While flares are supposed to elongate the leg, the opposite is true when they’re too short.
But aerie HEARD MY CRIES and offers its Groove-On Rib Velour Flare Pant in a long inseam (heads-up — they’re also in a short inseam). Turns out, when flares are actually the proper length on me, I can’t get enough of ‘em.
Fit Notes: I’m wearing a size medium in the CozyUp Waffle Quarter Zip Sweatshirt, and it’s just a little oversized, but I do think sizing up to a large would be even cozier, to be honest (but that’s just me). I’m wearing a medium *long* in the velour pants, and they’re just right, if not a little bit loose in the hips (but I have ZERO curves).
Another one of my fave things about aerie is that its clothes are really good quality at such an epic price point, which makes it a perfect go-to for gifting to my mom, sisters and all the women in my life (while adding a few items to my own wish list, wink, wink).
I own aerie sweatpants (these have been my favorite for years), sweatshirts and even socks that have lasted for what feels like FOREVER.
Seriously, though, don’t sleep on the socks. They’re my go-to for movie nights and fantastic Christmas stocking stuffers — I make sure to grab a few new pairs every winter.
Cheers! To The Best Sweatshirt Of The Season: aerie Down-To-Earth Crew
I can’t resist aerie’s Down-To-Earth Crew Sweatshirt.
Pretty much every color is glorious, but as soon as I saw that the color Soft Oat had “CHEERS” written down the sleeve, it was an instant “add to cart.”
Sweatshirts are easily my favorite thing to own (not even the least bit ashamed about this fact), and this super-soft crewneck is no exception. It’s oversized yet still very lightweight, long enough to rock with all leggings, and I mean, c’mon — that arm detailing?! I feel festive just looking at it.
Fit Notes: I’m wearing a size medium in the Down-To-Earth Crew Sweatshirt, and it’s super-oversized (just the way I like it). If you’re petite or don’t want it as oversized, you can easily size down!
Maybe the only thing I don’t like about aerie…is how hard it is to choose what to treat myself with. So, Santa, if you’re reading this: I’ll take one of everything. I’ve been so good this year!
