When I think of ‘Parisian Chic’ I don’t necessarily think of Amazon clothing.
But then I impulsively purchased Daily Ritual’s Slouchy Pullover Top to bring with me on my 2019 European vacation. (I developed a debilitating quirk where I was petrified of being teased by Parisians for looking “too American.”)
Even my brother begrudgingly admitted that “I blended in” with the locals…well, as much as I possibly could.
Years later, I still have that Daily Ritual top because it was just that good.
Supersoft Tops, Low-Key Dresses & More Casual Daily Ritual Fashion Finds
I decided it was time to revisit Daily Ritual and see if any other pieces can stand the test like my beloved black top. The brand touts “elevated basics” at a fair price, but how’s the fabric? How would they fit? I rounded up 10 pieces to see if my Daily Ritual black top was par for the course, or a random Amazon clothing “win” for me.
1| Cotton Relaxed-Fit Crewneck T-Shirt Dress
Nothing like an easy T-Shirt Dress on a warm day…even better when it’s under $20 with free Prime shipping. Dresses like these can be a great canvas on which to build a killer outfit. I went casual with some Adidas Grand Court Sneakers (read my comparison with Adidas Superstars here) and a fun vegan leather bag in a delightful green apple color. You could also throw on a jean jacket, some gold jewelry, add a belt (or a belt bag, oooo) to create more of a waistline…the possibilities are endless.

2| Supersoft Terry Puff-Sleeve Top
The last time I tried a puff-sleeve top it was the Rebecca Minkoff Janine Sweatshirt and…I looked like a Trekkie extra. This Terry Puff Sleeve Shirt from Daily Ritual has some serious sleeves, but for some reason it just works on my swimmer shoulders. The color is stunning for spring and it’s just so comfy. You’ll see that a lot in this review: comfort. When they say “super-soft” in the title, they mean it. No false advertising there. This shirt could easily be worn with a pair of leggings or tucked into a pair of high-rise shorts like I’m wearing them here.

3| 100% Cotton Mock-Neck Sweater & Terry Cotton and Modal Joggers
I really wanted to try a neutral, monochromatic look. I think I did OK. The Daily Ritual Terry Cotton and Modal Joggers are definitely more fitted (I sized down, which might have been a mistake). The thing I don’t love about the joggers is that you can see the lining of the pockets through the bottoms. I’m assuming a darker color wouldn’t have that problem. They are oh-so-soft though. The real winner is this 100% Cotton Mock-Neck Sweater. It is SO DANG soft. I kept checking the price, thinking I paid more, but no, it’s under $30. The color is also dreamy for cooler spring mornings.

4| Jersey Standard Fit Ballet-Back T-Shirt Dress
THIS COLOR! I feel like an evergreen goddess. Similar to the animal print dress, this is an easy breezy Jersey Ballet-Back T-Shirt Dress. I was a little worried about the fabric (sometimes jersey fabric clings) but this surprisingly doesn’t. I’m wearing a normal bra and underwear and nary a line in sight. It also has a cute little scoop in the back. A great basic dress to jazz up (or not!).

5| Oversized Terry Cotton and Modal Wide Leg Pant & Relaxed Fit, Short Sleeve Crewneck Pocket T-Shirt
Y’all, the main problem I have with these Oversized Terry Cotton and Modal Wide Leg Pants is the length; I don’t dig the wide crop on my 5’7 frame. But they are SO snuggly. Seriously tempted to keep them and just wear around the house. They are the softest pants I have ever put on. I’ll probably end up wearing them even more than my jeans, tbh. The Jersey Relaxed-Fit Short-Sleeve Crewneck Pocket T-Shirt is fine. Nothing to write home about. Personally I prefer tees with cotton in them, like these by James Pearse or Gap’s 100% Cotton Vintage Tees.

6| Supersoft Terry Standard Fit Racerback Maxi Dress
Again, I’m really digging a dark green. This Supersoft Terry Standard-Fit Racerback Maxi Dress is perfect for casual summer dinners or even as a swim cover-up. If you don’t want to spend $75+ on a maxi dress, this is a good bet.

7| Supersoft Terry Drawstring Waist Dress
This Drawstring Waist Dress is good for someone…that someone is not me. It’s not terrible, but the drawstring is too low on my waist and it cuts me off. I have narrow, high hips, so this doesn’t hit on my natural waist. If you have a normal/long torso this could be a fabulous easy dress.

8| Women’s Supersoft, Terry Pleated Sleeve Sweatshirt

When Daily Ritual says “super soft” and it comes to this Terry Sweatshirt, they mean it. The only thing I don’t love is how the neckline lays. Adore the puff sleeves though. I could see this paired with grey trousers for work. An easy business causal look!

Daily Ritual is known for their elevated basics and truly I cannot think of a better way to describe their line. Easy, comfy pieces for lounging around the house or dresses to jazz up for lunch dates, coffee and the like. And, if my black mock neck top that I ambled around Europe is any indication, these inexpensive pieces will last for years to come.

Several of these pieces sound nice and so many look amazing on you. Did any make the cut and get kept?
So I’m still weighing through what I will keep (it’s a matter of budget, looking at my wardrobe, etc). I will say my top three items are: the leopard print dress, those wide leg pants that are OH so comfy, and the puff sleeve shirt. A close second is the entire monocromatic outfit. The only reason I am probably skipping the sweater is I’m not sure how much use I’ll get out of it for the rest of the winter/spring transitional season.
What color are the joggers? I love but none seem to match on the website.
