This raincoat is what started this whole look.
I passed it in Nordstrom last month and couldn’t resist trying it out. Not only is the color combo one of the best I’ve ever seen, but it’s actually waterproof, too. Sweaty Betty makes such lovely, high-quality pieces, and this one is a true outfit-maker (rare for a raincoat, friends).
Mood Booster: A Cool Statement Raincoat & The Athletic Wear Upgrades It Inspired
Then…I quickly found myself in the Zella section and the cheetah print spoke to the cool raincoat and really wanted to become my new outfit. And I love, love it so much. This combo gave me that little boost into spring style that I needed.

1. The Outfit-Making Raincoat: Sweaty Betty Retro Parachute Waterproof Parka
Sweaty Betty’s Retro Parachute Parka is such a beautiful, well-made coat.
The seams are heat-sealed, the sleeves have a cool, cinch-elastic to keep the rain out, and the length both covers well and makes an impact. I love the slight trench coat vibes, too. Additionally, the little details are really thoughtful: There’s an inside zip chest pocket for headphones or a credit card, a really cool stand-up collar, a hood, and a cinch elastic at the bottom hem.
And the color-blocking is gorg. It’s statement-making AND practical. I love that kind of piece.

2. The Go-To Sweatshirt: Sweaty Betty Harmonise Luxe Sweatshirt
And speaking of Sweaty Betty, I’ve been wearing the heck out of this luxe sweatshirt for the last month. It is SO soft, easy to throw on with everything, and has that cool collar moment I’m always a fan of.
It comes in a bunch of colors, has thumbholes AND pockets and just looks adorable.

They had a Medium in store and I’ve been happy with the perfectly slouchy fit. So I’d say size up if between sizes. SO cozy soft and warm, yet not too heavy. Great for layering over workout wear and under jackets!
3. The Workout Clothes: Zella Tank, Bra & Leggings
Just when I thought I was over animal print…I spied these Zella leggings and sports bra. Not only is the animal print really good (interesting, wearable, non-cheesy), but both pieces are made from a gorgeous, ribbed fabric I am starting to really love for workout wear and athleisure.

The ribbed waistband on the leggings is super-comfy, as is the band on the bra. Additionally, the tank is the perfect cropped-but-not-too-cropped length and composed of a really soft light fabric…in such a fun shade!

I hover between a S & M in a lot of workout wear and felt most comfy in the M in the leggings and bra, but only size up if you’re between sizes.
4. The Sneakers: Classic Adidas Stan Smiths (That Go With Everything)
Of course the best sneakers to pair with this fun springy look are my Stan Smiths.
That green is perfection with the rest of the outfit, and white sneaks just sing spring (even though yeah, spring in the Northwest = all the rain). These babies wipe off cleanly, and I’ve sported all my white leather sneaks proudly for years, despite the rain! They give me the pep in my step I need this time of year. Haha.

What fun spring pieces are giving you energy for your day right now? I love that this great coat has some classic trench vibes (the color and some of the details), but that it’s a fun twist on a basic trench. Can you tell I like this coat, friends?
Happy Spring, everyone! Here’s to bright colors and pretty flowers and some new outfit inspo!
