There’s nothing quite as satisfying as colorblocking my workout apparel, and if I have on a cute outfit for hitting the trails or gym, I’m bound to get moving.
So when I’m shopping for new pieces, if something isn’t already sold in a matching or coordinating set, I love to put together quick little collages for myself to get a fun visual of what an outfit would look like (it’s extra, I know, but a good athletic outfit really does make my heart happy).
I’ve got a little thing going with those pretty coastal blues right now. To my joyous surprise, when I hopped on Athleta’s website to check out its current selection, I noticed it has a plethora of shorts and tanks stocked in the most stunning shades of teal, blue and green.
It was like an athletic wardrobe fit for a summer in the Hamptons unfolded before my eyes.
Athleta Dresses, Shorts & Tops: Summer Essentials In Gorg Coastal Colors
I think my favorite part of Athleta is that it is a performance lifestyle brand — meaning its pieces really do flow seamlessly from workout to weekend and wherever life takes you. Simply put, they’re versatile.
Rounded up below are my picks for summer essentials (whether you find yourself in the Hamptons or not). And they’re all $40 and under for a limited time only! 1. Momentum Seamless Tank
Ohh, this Santorini Blue shade — give me ALL of it, please and thank you. The Momentum Seamless Tank is light, built for high-intensity workouts and available in a ton of colors…but…Santorini Blue.
2. Aurora Seamless Crop Rib Tank – Santorini Blue
I absolutely love a good longline bra. The shape and length of the Aurora Seamless Crop is perfect for wearing to work out, but it’s also really good under a button-down top and jeans. I reach for the ones in my closet so much in the summertime — you can never have enough.
3. Aurora Seamless Crop Rib Tank – Cottage Blue
The same glorious longline bra as above but in Cottage Blue. Because this color is just begging for a Hamptons-inspired wardrobe.
4. Foothill Seamless Tank
OK, it’s the back tie of this seamless tank for me.
5. Momentum Seamless Tee
Every color the Momentum Seamless Tee is available in right now is glorious, but you know I was drawn to the Cottage Blue. This shirt is made from recycled nylon with technology that eliminates odors.
6. Essence Support Top
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a lovelier “technical” shirt. This one protects, wicks, even has built-in, light chest support — the whole nine yards. But can we talk about that neckline? Stunning.
7. Presidio Dress
Multiple contributors on our team have been talking about Athleta dresses lately, which has me really curious to try one. I love how the Presidio Dress is ultra-flowy, and while it’s casual in shape, the black still comes off very chic. Oh, yeah, there are pockets too.
8. Essence Support Tank
Athleta is known for making its stunning tops in both tank and T-shirt options. If you loved the stunning neckline of the Essence Support Tee but prefer a breezier fit — this tank top.
9. Farallon Shorts
The Farallon Shorts are like glorified sweatshorts. The pockets and drawstring make it feel elevated enough to style up for everyday, but they’re comfy enough for crashing on the couch at the end of the night.
10. Sundown Sweatshirt
Can we take a moment for this sweatshirt? This is a top you can wear all year long. It’s available in tall and petite sizes, plus just look at those reviews. The Minimalistic Grey is beyond gorgeous too.
11. Mesh Racer Run 2.5″ Shorts
I love how Athleta’s shorts have all the bells and whistles. These ones are made from recycled materials and are breathable and sweat-wicking, wrinkle-resistant (perfect for packing), and built with UPF 50+. I mean…what more could you need?
12. Hustle 3″ Shorts – Black
The inside drawstring in the Hustle 3-inch shorts is my favorite, making it completely adjustable, but I also have to mention the more than 1,000 five-star reviews (mind-blowing).
13. Hustle 3″ Shorts – Green Floral
These shorts are fantastic in black (the shorts right above this), but how good is the Elegance Floral Borealis Green print! If I squint, I see whimsical roses, and with all the different wisps of color, you could wear multiple colors of tops with it. The Hustle 3-inch shorts also have a bottom hem that curves up on the outside of your leg, making it mega-flattering to wear.
14. High-Rise Run With It 2.5″ Shorts
These High-Rise Run With It shorts have a little zipper pouch in the back, which is actually a spot I use all the time in workout apparel. It’s perfect for a single key and, if I’m going on a long walk where I might want to grab a coffee, perfect for the card too.
15. Ultimate Train Tank
The high neck of the Ultimate Train Tank is so chic (and is great coverage) while still having that nice, sporty look with the racerback. This tank is definitely a workout-wardrobe staple.
I can’t get over all of these soothing shades at Athleta. Now, who wants to meet me for a walk in the Hamptons?
