If I could go back in time and go on a fabulous babymoon, it would probably be somewhere in the Caribbean. A little sun, a little sand and lots of relaxing. Gosh, what a lovely way to spend a trip before baby arrives.
For any of you expecting mamas who may be looking for some warm-weather packing inspo, look no further. I’ve pulled together some dreamy pieces (and some practical clothing options, too!) for trips to any warm, sunny beaches with crystal-clear blue water. Float around like the goddess you are, Mama, and soak up this bit of time before that big next stage of life.
A Maternity Packing List For The Caribbean Babymoon Of Your Dreams
I’ve created a two-part babymoon packing list — one for relaxing poolside, and one for adventuring — with beautiful maternity clothes that you’ll want to wear long after pregnancy. Some of these items are non-maternity (yet bump-friendly) clothing, like a flowy Free People caftan and a gorgeous robe from Anthropologie.
OK, now I’m even adding this stuff to my own wish list. (This job is dangerous, friends.)
Babymoon Packing List: Lounging Pool + Oceanside
This first babymoon packing list has all the necessities to show off your inner sun goddess while luxuriously lounging by the pool or ocean. I’d pack some maternity swimwear, loose cover-ups and comfy sandals. And sunscreen, of course — gotta protect that glowing skin, friends!

01 | Free People Groovy Baby Maxi Kaftan: Gorgeous. Comes in three different color options, but honestly, the one above is the most stunning, IMO! I adore a caftan in the summer.
02 | Anthropologie Aratta Bird Kimono: The cover up on my own wish list, but it would be pretty perfect for a bump, too. Click through to see the details. GORG.
03 | Cache Couer Bloom Two-Piece Maternity Swimsuit: Adorable! Bump-friendly swimwear that’s reasonably priced.
04 | Cult Gaia Mini Coco Woven Rattan Tote: One of our favorite summery statement bags. This one’s begging to be taken on a Caribbean getaway. Just stuff it full to safely pack it in a suitcase.
05 | BECCA Tanzania Scarf-Tie Pants (also available at Nordstrom): Love pants like this for popping on as a cover-up. These have a smocked back waist to adjust to the bump.
06 | BECCA Gauzy Button-Front Shirtdress: Wear on its own, or pair with the scarf-tie pants for a gorgeous, babymoon outfit.
07 | Ray-Ban Geometric Sunglasses: Can’t go wrong with some beautiful Ray-Ban sunglasses when lounging by the pool.
08 | Gold Hoop Earrings: Rings can be tricky to wear while pregnant (while we were chatting about this post, S mentioned that her fingers got a bit swollen with her bebes), so pack a gorg pair of gold hoops instead.
09 | Summersalt Maternity Cinched Current Swimsuit: This one-piece maternity suit is adorable and gets great reviews.
10 | Kopari Sun Shield Body glow: I love Kopari’s whole line of items. This makes you sooooo glowy and still provides 50 SPF.
11 | Tarte Waterproof Mascara: Highly rated and a must-have for swimming.
12 | Seychelles Word for Word Slide Sandals: Cute, and adds a modern vibe to the other pieces in the packing list.
13 | Veronica Beard Salva Strappy Sandals: These sandals are just gorgeous. And the open style leaves room for swollen feet!
Babymoon Packing List: Travel Days + Sightseeing
The practical, sporty side of me wanted to include some outfit options for travel days, shopping, and sightseeing. First up? Sneakers.
Sneakers are a must-have for any trip, and I recently tried these cute Tretorn sneakers. They run a bit wide, perfect for feet during pregnancy. They’re retro and sporty but still very comfy. Want a comfort sandal instead? Our team members swear by these cushiony Reef sandals as something cute you can wear all day long.

01 | Gap Maternity Ruched T-shirt Dress: One of the easiest pieces to have in your maternity wardrobe.
02 | A Pea In The Pod Stripe One-Piece Maternity Swimsuit: I adore this maternity swimsuit, and I’m a sucker for stripes. Wear it as a bodysuit with the shorts, hat and sneakers. (Pro tip: when going to the bathroom, just, ahem, pull it to the side. No need to take the whole thing off.)
03 | Clare V. “Ciao” Trucker Hat: A cute, sporty, & chic way to keep the sun off your face.
04 | Gap Maternity Puff-Sleeve T-Shirt: For when you’ve had enough sun on your shoulders.
05 | Old Navy Maternity Square-Neck Midi Tank Dress: I lived in this type of comfy dress when pregnant.
06 | BTB Los Angeles “Be Mine” Straw Tote: This adorable shoulder bag has the cutest hearts embroidered on it. Cute but still beachy.
07 | Lively The Busty Maternity/Nursing Bralette: This maternity/nursing bra gets great reviews — looks comfy but still supportive.
08 | Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40: A team-favorite sunscreen.
09 | Aimee Kestenberg High Riser Crossbody Bag: Simply an adorable and outfit-making purse.
10 | Calpak Hue Mini Carry-On Luggage: My favorite little carry-on ever.
11 | Huzi Infinity Pillow: I have, I love. I wish I’d had this pillow for travel during pregnancy too!
12 | Motherhood Maternity French Terry Shorts: Perfect for sleeping/lounging, or as an easy cover-up, or just for hot days.
13 | Bombas Marled Merino Knee-High Compression Socks: These socks are so cozy. And definitely helpful for flying during pregnancy. I’d wear something like these SUPER-comfy fold-over-waist knit pants on the plane to accommodate wearing the knee socks! Or one of the caftans, depending on your flying preference. Comfort is key!
14 | Tretorn Nylite Sneakers: Recently tried these sneaks, and they’re SO cute (and a bit wide — perfect for pregnant feet). The platform version is also super-adorable.
The only thing left to say is…take me with you! Haha. Enjoy that trip before your little bundle arrives, Mama!

L
