Athleta recently had their Friends & Family Sale and I bought all. the. things. Since falling in love with their Cabo Linen Line last summer (hello, perfect pants for spring and summer) and finding the perfect loungewear outfit-that-doesn’t-look-like-pjs last fall, Athleta is now one of my favorite brands.
This Must Be The Outfit: Athleta Nolita Pants & Conscious Crop Top (Don’t Forget The Sneakers & Center Part)
I took full advantage of the sale to try out some new pieces and branch out from my favorite joggers and linen pants. Two stand-out pieces were their Nolita Wide Leg Pants and Conscious Crop top. They’re both fabulous on their own, but when I put them together, added some sneakers, and parted my hair in the middle I’d never felt more Gen-Z (but I’m almost 40, so…).
I did love the outfit, but I needed a bit more confidence to wear it, uh, confidently, so I shared it with the TME gang during one of our meetings. As soon as I showed the pictures, Kat was like “I have that exact same outfit.” Whaaaat? It’s not the first time Kat & I have worn the same thing, and we’ve found that over and over again we tend to like and look good in the same things.

And Kat? Rocks all of her looks with such confidence and bad-assery (is that a word?) that I was like yes! I can totally wear this outfit — it’s Kat-approved!
Scotti’s Outfit Details
pants: Athleta Nolita Wide Leg Pants (6R) – I wasn’t sure if I’d like these pants, but I really wanted to…so I ordered FOUR sizes to be sure I had the right fit. I thought the petite length would be better for me (I’m 5’4″), but they were too short for the style. My regular size 6 was the best size for me. I love how the wide waistband kind of shapes the waist and holds you in. (And I love that stripe down the side that makes them easier to dress up!)
top: Conscious Crop D-DD+ (small, also in A-C) – The D-DD+ made ALL the difference. I’m used to tops being too tight across the bust and the bigger size just gave me more room without squeezing. SO much easier to put on/take off and I love the neckline. I wear it under oversized sweaters and blazers, and with high-waist jeans and pants.
sneakers: Adidas Superstar Shoes with Swarovski Crystals – You can’t really see them in the pics, but these sparkly Adidas sneakers are everything. (And they’re on sale for $60 off!)
Athleta Nolita Pants & Conscious Crop Top: Kat’s Take
As Scotti pointed out, when we were on a recent team call, she was raving about how much she loved her recent finds from Athleta, and as it turns out, we both bought the same outfit and didn’t even know it. It’s no secret that I am in love with Athleta. The quality, their inclusivity efforts and styles make it an absolute staple for my wardrobe! I blame TikTok for making me love the middle part and wide-leg pants, and I love that both Scotti and I are rocking the trends right now!
Just as Scotti mentioned, we tend to gravitate towards the same styles. This is 100% an outfit that I wear all the time. My pants are the cropped version of the ones that Scotti has, and I love both versions. Clearly I am here for all the Gen Z trends!
Kat’s Outfit Details
pants: Athleta Brooklyn Wide Leg Crop Pant (20) These have a great amount of stretch, and I love the looser fitting style. They are higher rise pants and are made with Featherweight Stretch™ fabric and recycled polyester. They are super lightweight and also have a slight silky feel to them as well.
top: Conscious Crop D – DD (2x, also in A-C): You all already know I basically live in crop tops. I love where they hit my curves and that they accentuate my waistline. The fabric of the conscious crop is beyond buttery soft! It has a built in bra lining and I love how long it is too.
sneakers: P448 Thea Platform Sneaker: I am absolutely in love with platform sneakers right now, and the P448 Thea sneaker is so incredibly comfortable. As you can tell from the pictures, they are well-loved and worn, and I even like how they look with a few extra scuff marks too.
