As a midsize woman, pants are the category of clothing I find the most difficult to purchase, but recently I’ve found five great pairs of pants at Nordstrom.

I’ve picked up the softest light-wash jeans and the best white denim I’ve ever tried on from my favorite jeans brand, Good American. I also found cargo pants that look relaxed but not sloppy on my curves from Madewell, as well as breezy, linen-blend wide-leg pants that help me beat the summer heat.

Last but not least, I picked up Nike sweatpants in my favorite bright orange-red color that I can wear when I retreat from the blazing sun to game and watch movies with my husband. These pants are all so comfortable and flatter my pear-shaped body. For reference, I’m 5’5” and typically wear a size 14 in pants.

The 5 Best Pants (From Nordstrom!) For My Pear-Shaped Body

1. The Good American Good Legs Crop Mini Bootcut Organic Cotton Jeans are my first pick. I love the crop kick/mini bootcut design of these jeans. I also love light-wash denim for summer. Plus, these jeans are the softest I’ve ever purchased from Good American.

2. My second find at Nordstrom is the Madewell Straight-Leg Cargo Pants made from soft and cozy TENCEL fabric. I’ve wanted to jump on the cargo-pants trend, but I had trouble finding cargos that flattered me until I purchased these pants. The TENCEL fabric drapes really nicely and is buttery to the touch.

3. The third pants I’m sharing are the Calson Wide-Leg Pull-On Linen-Blend Pants (a TME team favorite). These breezy pants come in a few different colors, but my favorite color is this celadon/jade color. These pants give me cool coastal-grandma vibes all day long.

4. The fourth pants I love at Nordstrom right now are my favorite white jeans I’ve ever purchased. These are the Good American Good Classic High-Waist Bootcut Jeans, which are so classic and clean-looking that they can take the place of trousers in an outfit. These also fit like a dream at the waist, which is super-important to me.

5. Finally, I love Nike Phoenix High-Waist Fleece Sweatpants. They fit loose but not too loose, and the fleece is soft and cozy. These are my perfect sweatpants. I treat myself to Nike sweatpants once a year, and then wear them all the time for lounging.
