I think I’ve found it, my Perfect Button-Up Shirt.

Well, two shirts, actually…

A crisp, white button up — one that finally suits my personal style– and the softest, luxe flannel.

Both from Frank & Eileen.

These Button-Ups From Frank & Eileen Are All I Want To Wear Now & Forever

There’s a plethora of button-ups on the market (in my closet, even), so what makes these a notch above the rest?

The perfect silhouettes.

Frank & Eileen have placed the buttons in a bust-flattering position on all their oversized tops.

Frank & Elieen is a master of exceptional cuts. I’m telling you, they leave no detail behind. From the drape of the fabric behind you to the sleeves that beautifully cuff, and the shapes that feel feminine yet lived-in.

They even place the buttons in a bust-flattering position

They have thought of EVERYTHING.

These button-ups make me feel beautiful-- they are All I Want To Wear moving forward.

Frank & Eileen’s Shirley Button-Up: A Feminine Take On The Oversized Shirt

A button-up top is one of my personal closet staples, but I’ll be honest in admitting that I haven’t been able to find a classic, white button up that felt right for my style. I’ve tried many, but they are either made too stiff, are cut wrong for my shoulders, or the length doesn’t suit the rest of my go-to pieces.

Frank & Eileen’s Shirley Oversized Button-Up is, for one, perfectly oversized just as the name would suggest.
While most white button-ups are often menswear inspired (sturdy…boring?), the Shirley top has a feminine oval silhouette that feels tailored to my exact preferences.

The shoulders are cut long & soft for extra-comfort +the shirttail is curved just so to cover your bum.

The shoulders are cut long and soft for that extra-comfort appeal, and the shirttail is curved just so to cover your bum. I have it paired with Frank Eileen’s Blackrock Utility pants, which feel like a sophisticated swap for leggings, and are truly the most amazing compliment to their oversized tops.

For my ladies who are legging lovers — can’t you picture how glorious these tops would be paired with them?! The extra-comfort of this perfectly crafted top with your fave black leggings, cozy waffle socks and worn-in clogs. You have a hot cup of coffee (or cocoa) that is steaming from the crisp autumn air, and you feel as though you’re ready for anything and everything the day delivers. It’s the go-to outfit that is lived-in yet timeless. Wear on repeat, forever.

Frank & Eileen’s Mackenzie Flannel: A Seriously Soft & Incredibly Gorgeous Button-Up

Although a crisp white top is an all-year-round grab for my California closet, I also found the most glorious option for colder days.

As a girl from Michigan, I’ve been around the flannel block a time or two. They’re practically a necessity in a cold-weather town, but they haven’t always been as gorgeous or as chic of a style choice — until Frank & Eileen Mackenzie Flannel Button-Up Shirt.

The Mackenzie Flannel is made from some of the softest cotton I’ve ever felt.

The Mackenzie Flannel is made from some of the softest cotton I’ve ever felt. It’s luxuriously cozy while still being ideal for a California winter.

It’s the perfect piece to throw on for any weekend activity, from fall farmers markets to layering underneath a full-length coat for winter activities.

Similar to the Shirley Poplin Top, the back of the Mackenzie Flannel is long and swooping, perfect for covering your bum. It could be worn buttoned as I have here, but is also an amazing piece to wear open as a layer to create dimension and texture in an outfit. It’s so good, I’m eyeing up Frank & Eileen’s McLoghlin Utility Shirt in flannel, too.

And, yes, the “one size” did give me pause at first. Someone as large as me doesn’t typically bode well with anything considered one size, but seeing as how the Mackenzie top is described as “extremely oversized, one size fits every figure” I felt like it might work. AND GANG. IT’S AMAZING.

  1. That white shirt is gorgeous! And, it looks like from the back shots, maybe a bit sheer? Super cute on you, but if I’m looking for a shirt to teach in without wanting to wear a cami, would it be a pass?

    • Hmmm…well I wouldn’t describe the white top as sheer, but it IS on the thinner side, yeah. My silhouette can be seen easily from the back because the sun was setting directly in front of me – it’s not this way in normal daylight or indoors. I do wear a nude bra with the top though, I think a black or colorful bra may show (but then again, thats the case for me with most white tops). If your job allows, perhaps try another color of the Shirley Top? You’d get the same amazing shape but with less risky of a color/material!

    • Yeaah, at 5’9″ I’d say I’m the TOP height that could wear these (they do sit lower rise on me, too). Here’s hoping they make long inseams soon!!
