Still Wearing: These Pretty Cinq à Sept Joggers

Joggers have been a crucial part of my journey as a mom. They carried me from the day I had my first child to my first years as a mom of two. I was tired, sleep-deprived, never fully clean thanks to little hands, and always on the go. Joggers, especially some with an exciting design, were my go-to to feel somewhat put together.

While I stopped relying on joggers after some time, I still have a sweet spot for them. So imagine my excitement when I saw these silky, stylish Cinq à Sept Cargo joggers during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They were impossible to resist.

Here’s some news: These joggers come in several gorgeous shades, some of which are on sale, including the bronze color I’m wearing.

These Silky + Versatile Cinq à Sept Cargo Joggers Are Just My Color

Truth, I’ve been wearing these joggers with a cropped tank or bodysuit and my bare feet at my house. When I need to leave the house for some errands or school drop-off/pickup, I throw on a pair of sneakers or Birkenstocks and DONE. They’re so comfy for my work-from-home days. But then, while in Bogotá, Colombia, I dressed them up and fell even more in love. You can do anything you want with them.

Sizing Info: Nordstrom recommends sizing down, which could be true for some. In my case, I stayed with a small (I wear a 26/27 in jeans) because the XS felt snug around my thighs.

Washing Info: I wash them inside out in my machine’s most delicate cycle and then hang to dry. The material is 100% cupro (silk-like fabric recycled from cotton linter). You can see washing tips here.

It’s All About Balance: Starting With The Shoes

If you see the retailer photos, these cargo joggers look great with pumps or heeled sandals. However, I’m more of a boots girl — or block-heeled-boots girl, to be more specific. (Here are some boots similar to the ones I’m wearing.)

I decided to stay choose boots in a similar color to the Cinq a Sept cargo joggers to elongate the legs while honoring my color palette & depth.

One of the things I always pay attention to is the colors of the shoe; it’s a way to balance out your body. I like to go for a similar color to the pants on top and a different color for shoes or a different color for the top and similar in the shoes. You can see it more clearly in this post about styling cropped wide-leg pants.

Here, I decided to stay close to the color of the pants to elongate the legs while honoring my color palette and depth. Taupe or a lighter brown would work, but the contrast would be too low for my complexion since I’m already wearing a white top.

Always A Good Idea: A Deceivingly Easy Wrap Bodysuit

I usually prefer snugger tops for looser bottoms, but whenever I go for a more relaxed top, I want a V-neck and the ability to tuck it in. That’s where a wrap bodysuit comes to play. I have six wrap bodysuits in all colors and fabrics. Some are super-dressy, others not so much, but they’re flattering and timeless — and you’re not worried about any untucking.

My bodysuit is from Good American and almost gone, but there is an almost-exact version with chest pockets. I love how the bodysuit tucks perfectly into the joggers and looks like a blouse. This one has a snap to keep it together, perfect for the office and more, but I also love leaving it open for a night out. It changes the whole outfit.

These pants have skyrocketed to some of my favorite pants and are a nice break from my jeans. Would you like to see more outfits with them? I’m also resisting the urge to get them in another color. What color would you choose?

Joggers are *crucial,* & this baggy cargo style from Cinq à Sept is irresistible. Go casual w/ sneakers, or dress up w/ a wrap bodysuit + block-heel boots (my fave).
