How I’m Wearing My Favorite Spanx Faux Leather Leggings Right Now

I originally bought these Spanx leggings in hopes that holiday travel (of some sort) would be in the cards for us this year, and I’d need a cute, comfy outfit. In a perfect world, I’d love to get over to the UK to spend time with my dad, but that would require two weeks of isolation once we arrive before we could see anyone. No thanks. I’ll wait it out on this one! All in good time, I suppose. [insert sob]

Styling Spanx Faux Leather Leggings For Everyday

So even though we’re homebound this year, I realized how much I love this outfit combo for everyday — it’s all about these Faux Leather Side Stripe Spanx Leggings, baby. They are SO COOL (and on sale right now!). They make me feel really okay with wearing leggings anywhere. I am wearing a Medium here (usually between a Small/Medium). Also, important to note: Nordstrom has several Spanx leggings in stock, in different styles and colors.

Comfy Outfit Formula = Spanx Faux Leather Side Stripe Leggings + Oversized Sweater + Wedge Sneakers

No matter where I’m going — school pickup, grocery store, appointments, etc., I love to be wearing some form of stretchy pants, a slouchy top, comfortable footwear (that you can slip on and off easily!) and a bag that’s easily accessible — one that you can stash all the important stuff in but isn’t this monster of a thing to lug around.

This Amazon turtleneck sweater works perfectly with the leggings — I like that it’s longer, too. It kinda has Free People Ottoman tunic vibes but for waaaay less. It’s not exactly what it looks like in the pictures (not as chunky of a look and the asymmetrical hem isn’t as asymmetrical as I expected it to be). That said, I like it a lot anyway! If you’re looking for comfortable, easy and affordable…this is it.

I finished it off with these Vince wedge sneakers, my all-time favorite face mask + a cool chain (so I don’t lose my mask and lose my mind), and voila!

sweater: This Long Turtleneck Sweater is one of those Amazon sweaters, the kind you’re not sure are going to be as good as they look. So, it’s not exactly what it looks like in the pictures (not as chunky of a look, and the asymmetrical hem isn’t as asymmetrical as maybe it should be). That said, I like it a lot anyway! It’s comfortable, easy and affordable. Also, it comes in several different colors. TTS. I am wearing a Small.

sneakers: Since I have recently fallen for their sweaters, I figured it was time to give Vince sneakers a try…aaand now I can’t stop wearing the Vince. Contemporary Sneaker. Also available in all sizes at Bergdorf Goodman! TTS, wearing 9.5.

bag: The Drop has some really cool looking bags. I finally got my hands on one! This Preston Belt Bag is my kind of thing for traveling (or running errands or grocery shopping or…anything). It also comes in a light, light grey, snakeskin & a brown spice color.

mask + chain: LeLe Sadoughi masks have been my favorite of all the ones I’ve tried. Seriously. They are light, breathable, and cute. I have washed them in a mesh laundry bag and they came out perfectly. Masks also available at Nordstrom! The chain lanyard is this one here on Amazon — love it! (its the Paper Clip option)

Okay…A 4th Addition To My Leggings Outfit…

A Puffer Coat

I’ll be honest with you, I had a grand plan to wear this adorable, humongous puffer in every picture, but haha…ha. It was in the high 80s on this particular day. I tried. I did! However, the attempt resulted in a severe b*tch face that is best kept away from the general public. I was over it in .2 seconds, my friends. I think I may even have been rolling my eyes and making rude remarks to my poor friend, the photographer. I stripped that thing off as quickly as possible…and threw it in the back of my minivan with a dramatic door slam and an “AWAY, SATAN” thrown in for effect.

So, anyway! I still think its worth sharing — the coat that is…not the mood or the mini-tantrum I had in a parking lot.

A puffer jacket is a great option to pop over top of this look if you live in a colder area. I really love this puffer, I do. Just not when it’s 80 degrees out. (But you get the idea.)
