In my mind, there are two kinds of après ski: the kind that follows naturally after a long day of skiing (usually done in ski gear), and the kind you take a shower for. In either case, when it comes to après ski…I’m in.

Dressing for an après ski situation that occurs après shower, however, is tricky. It’s cold, it’s snowy, and yet *this girl* still wants to look cute. We are Going Out Somewhere, after all. And while I haven’t quite progressed to faux-fur Moon Boots (next year, maybe), I do appreciate some duds that are on theme.

Cozy-Chic Pieces For Après Ski Outfits (From SAM, Perfect Moment & Sorel)

I’ve had my eye on the brand Perfect Moment, for years. In addition to (arguably) the chicest skiwear I’ve ever seen, they also make something that is probably (technically?) a merino wool baselayer, but what looks like one seriously cool sweater. A sweater that happens to be perfect for a cute (and warm) après ski look.

The Jacket That’s Cute, Warm & Technical

I had always assumed that SAM jackets were more style than function, so I was a blown away when I finally tried them. It turns out that SAM jackets are technical, which means that they’re not just cute, they’re seriously warm. The jacket I’m wearing (in addition to really warm construction overall) has thumbholes and a drawstring waist that cinches up, trapping the warmth inside (and showing off my waist).

I seriously couldn’t believe how well made and warm this jacket is.

Let’s Discuss These Sorel Boots

Wanna talk boots? I know you do. These Sorel bad boys (technically Sorel’s Brex Leather Chelsea Boots) are the boots I never knew I needed. They’re a cross between chelsea boots and serious winter boots, and are basically made for some serious urban winter exploring. They’re warmer than an everyday boot (but not overly hot indoors, like snow boots), they’re waterproof, AND the bottom has serious traction, even on snow and ice. (And yup — I tested them out at the ice rink the other day.)

Best of all? The bottom is unbelievably cushy, making these boots a dream to walk in.
