Aerie is the one place I know for SURE I can always find something I love.
It must be because I love loungewear so much, and aerie takes it to the next level. I mean, honestly, I rarely walk into that store without finding something I want to wear out of it instead of the clothes on my back. (Which may have actually happened a few times.)
From my favorite leggings to lacy bralettes, comfy flannels and cozy shirts, aerie is my go-to for cute loungewear.
Aerie Takes Cozy Loungewear To The Next Level…& I’m Here For It
Starting off, this waffle henley is one of my favorite shirts! I first bought it in gray back before my brain surgery in 2021 (I stocked up on aerie loungewear ahead of that recovery!) and have gone back since for multiple colors. I love wearing it over aerie’s lacy padded bralette, over other formfitting henleys, or under cozy oversized flannels…
…this buffalo plaid flannel being my current favorite. (And did I mention there are thumbholes in the henley?? Idk why, but I love that detail!)
The thing about the waffle henley is that it looks just as good with leggings or sweatpants as it does with jeans or denim shorts. (One of my favorite ways to wear it is over a bikini top and denim shorts in the summer — the fit keeps it cool in warm weather and easy to layer in cold weather.)
The snaps on the neckline makes it easy to control the amount of skin I show — try it slightly off the shoulder with that lacy bralette.
Add A Lacy (Supportive) Bralette & The Leggings I’ll Be Wearing All Winter
And speaking of lacy bralettes, this padded one is the best for larger chests. Most bralettes don’t provide enough support, but aerie’s keeps the girls in check (and covered!) without squeezing or digging into sides. It comes in multiple cup sizes, and the straps are adjustable, which makes finding the right size easier — the band doesn’t need to be loose in order for the cups to fit.
I actually first bought one of these when I was still nursing Ozzie. It was easy to pop it to the side when I was breastfeeding, and I didn’t mind if the straps peeked out from underneath my shirts.
Lately I’m wearing everything with aerie’s high-waisted pocket leggings, which come up high enough that I don’t feel overly exposed when I’m just wearing the bralette (although — unless I’m working out — I typically am wearing a shirt #ItsColdInHere 😂).
The leggings’ pockets are everything…and fit a large phone easily. The fabric itself is brushed (making it extra cozy and warm), and the high waist, supportive fit and “cutie booty seam” (it’s a real thing) mean that these leggings are comfy and flattering. They’re the first non-black leggings I’ve ever worn…which is just about the best endorsement I can give them. I’ll be wearing these alllll winter long.
Adding that henley, the flannel and some cuddly socks to the leggings makes the perfect winter lounging outfit. Comfy, cozy and warm but cute — and not too tight either!
Cheers to staying warm!!
