When you think of leggings, I doubt outfits with jean jackets & piled-on jewelry comes to mind. Instead, it’s prob something more like comfy crewnecks, sports bras, and mayyybe that one zip-up you’ve had since 10th grade but just can’t get rid of. That’s fair. Me too.

5 Cute Leggings Outfits For At-Home Style AND Comfort

But let’s just say that our fav leggings could use some reimagining — just to make things a little more interesting and fun (hah!) at home. Why not!? What do we have to lose here while we’re stuck inside for a multitude of reasons (hello, two feet of snow and ice —  oh and hey, pandemic)?

That’s right: nothing.

Below are five really cute outfits (sans real pants) to make getting ready in the morning less of a chore and more of a happiness-inducing activity. Looking (and feeling) put-together at home is so underrated.

Ooo, chafe-preventing leggings? Say no more. Love the metallic sheen of these bad boys, too. Pair with a (somewhat) unexpected top — like this V-neck sweatshirt — and you’ll look kinda… fabulous? Haha. A stretch for a leggings outfit but seriously. I love this one. (Oh and peep the random essential oil & diffuser that I threw in there. I think I need.)

2. Skater Mom

Girlfriend Collective knocks it out of the park with their recycled fabric leggings & sports bras. Not only are they insanely comfy, but they also come in some really good colors. This plum is gorgeous and much more wearable than you’d think. Layer on a denim jacket over a neutral, minimal hoodie and daaang, OK, mama. You’re cool.

3. Playfully Neutral (It’s A Thing!)

Ahhh I love this cashmere sweater by Equipment (which happens to be on sale right now). The boxy fit and exaggerated arms add a little something extra to your usual striped sweater. Throw on over some black leggings (these slit cuff ones are sooo fun) and accessorize with some minimal jewelry and BAM. You’re lookin’ chic and good to go (to… your couch or desk, but whatever).

4. The BFS (Big Freakin’ Sweater)

We all have one. Giant, warm, cocoon-like sweaters are just a must in the cold, winter months — especially with leggings. Yes, yes they look “better” with jeans sometimes, but ditch those things and grab some faux leather leggings for now. Cool and SO much comfier.

5. Calming, Earthy Vibes

I just love all of the colors in this outfit — they’re fun, but not too over the top and can match pretty much anything in your closet. And how about those platform Chelsea sneaks by P448?? I’m in love. They’re a tad bit fancier than a regular sneaker but just as comfy. Win. Oh, and the leggings are period leggings. Man. Technology.
