Yep, A Black Midi Dress For Summer: Channeling My Inner Wednesday Addams
You might NOT want a Wednesday Addams moment in summer, and that’s your prerogative. But my fellow I-wear-lots-of-black-all-year friends will rejoice over Gap’s Satin High-Neck Midi Dress.

OK, so maybe this black midi is just a simple nod to the fabulous dress Jenna Ortega wore in Season 2, but still. I’m here for it.
And it’s SO comfy, friends! This dress also comes in a gorgeous rust shade that would look beautiful if you are in the non-Wednesday kinda camp. Haha.

Sizing + Fit Details: This Gap midi dress is offered in sizes XXS to XXL, plus some tall and petite sizes. I’m 5’4″ and a size 6, and I’m wearing the medium petite. (If you’re petite, I’d hop over there because those always sell quickly.) The dress has cool side ties that do give you a slightly adjustable waist and can be a cute bow feature if you like that. I left them just knotted so they would lie flat.
Styling: In true form, I went a little sporty with the styling here and popped on my adidas Sambas (loving this similar Nora style that’s better stocked!), but this dress could go with just about any favorite summer shoes you love…gladiator sandals, white Birkenstock slides, pretty tan slides, metallic sandals…you name it.
Fabric: This satin fabric is some silky-soft, breezy, lightweight magic that feels like a mix between actual silk and a technical fabric. I don’t understand it, but I love it! It’s ever-so-slightly sheer, but not enough for me to worry about rocking it.
This was a quick & simple post I wanted to get out there just because I don’t want you to miss out on this great dress from Gap! And I realize I’m not actually channeling any Wednesday vibes at all here with these flowery, summery pics, haha. I’ll leave that to my daughter.
