I like sophistication. It can be pajamas, sweatpants or cargo pants, but the sophisticated versions of whatever slouchy pieces are in style are always what captivates my eye.
If there’s a piece with a slight detail of sophistication, I’m all in. It’s a big part of my style, and instead of fighting it or trying to follow trends in the same way as the dominant look, I look for one that matches and enhances my style.
And when I find a brand that does it, it becomes a go-to. Agua Bendita for my swimsuits, Farm Rio for stunning and timeless prints, or Cinq à Sept for solid, sophisticated and versatile pieces. It’s not a surprise that I fell in love with these denim cargo pants by Cinq à Sept the minute I saw them.
Putting Cinq à Sept’s Denim Cargo Pants To The Test: 3 Outfit Ideas
I’ve been wearing the heck out of Cinq à Sept’s silky cargo joggers since last year, so I knew these denim joggers had potential. But as always, with anything I bring to my closet, I test it in different ways to see if they’ll give me a good cost-per-wear.
While I can see them working in most seasons, all I can think about right now is how to wear them with pretty summer tops, sandals and sneakers because #momlife.
But before that…
Fabric details and sizing: The material is lightweight and stretchy. You can move all you want; they’ll keep their shape and never constrict your body. I ordered sizes 2 and 4, and the 2 is perfect, so I’d say they run a little big. I’m a 27 in jeans, for reference.
Denim Cargo Pants Outfit Idea 1: Make Joggers Flirtier
Because if I can’t make something look fancy enough, I’m not buying it. These denim joggers will make be perfect to freshen up everyday summer outfits with a cute top and sneakers or flat sandals, but how about something more flirty?
Crop tops can be intimidating, but I can’t get enough of them. They’re perfect for my petite frame, and a flared silhouette like this one is one of the crop tops I feel more confident in.

Deep blue and tan are two of my best neutrals, and I often wear this combo. If you have a cooler undertone, I’d try taupe, white, a grayish neutral and even a light pink for more harmony with your complexion, as tan can get too warm sometimes.
Denim Cargo Pants Outfit Idea 2: Get A Little Fancy + Floral
Reformation is another brand that always captivates me with its stunning styles, prints and colors. The light prints, though gorgeous, don’t work for my complexion, so when I saw this green floral tank, I had to try it.

This silk tank top took a few tries in different sizes. It runs small, but once I found the right size, I loved it. Remember, size is just a number; all that matters is that it fits you right.

I love how a silky floral top takes the joggers to another level and makes them perfect for a night out. Try this Reformation tank if you prefer thicker straps, so you can wear a bra. Here I went for nipple covers, but a good strapless bra is a great option too.
Denim Cargo Pants Outfit Idea 3: Go Casually Chic
Sophisticated pants need sophisticated sneakers and a leather top — on fresh days, of course.

I’d been eyeing these Vince platform court sneakers for months and finally pulled the plug. I love the platform and the chic style, and while you can get these all-white version, I love the pop of color and mix of beige suede.
These are the pants I never knew I needed, but I’m so glad I found them. How do you like your cargo pants?
