My 4 Favorite Jeans This Winter (HINT: They Look Good With Boots)

I’m a pretty practical girl, Gang, so when winter comes, I need outfits that work with my usual winter boots: Sorels, Chunky Chelsea Boots (this pair specifically), Moon Boots and, uh, more Sorels. Think: warm and cute. Nothing is worse than cold feet or snowy ankles.

And frankly, these are the same jeans I turn to in early spring, too. Mud and rain also require special footwear, and these same jeans, the ones I’ve been wearing with my Moon Boots and Sorels, are the same jeans that look good with rain boots, hiking boots, and other types of waterproof shoes.

So. There have been four pairs of jeans that have earned some gold stars this winter: AG Mari High-Rise Straight-Leg Jeans, J.Crew’s Pont Sur Boyfriend Jeans, AGOLDE Lana Jeans (also at Nordstrom and Saks), and MOTHER The Stunner Skinny Jeans (’cause those Moon Boots have gotta go with something).

To see why these four jeans are my winter favorites, AND to see the pieces I’m styling them up with (and I’m talking complete outfits — coats and boots and everything), give our little video a watch. Links to everything available on YouTube (find them in the description below the video).

  1. Living in Wisconsin, I SO appreciate the reviews and styling tips that account for the weather up here. It’s going to be winter here for another three months or and all the coverage of “looks for spring” elsewhere are just depressing me!

  2. I’m with Florence! Thank you for the styling tips with boots! I live in Boston and we’ve still got a couple months left of cold and mucky roads. The newer Jean silhouettes have felt tricky with clunky and practical shoes, so I really appreciate the info on how to be warm and still cute.
