I knew I would love these skater jeans the second I saw them online. With a rating of 4.6 from over 50 reviews, these jeans are SO good, you guys. I had high hopes when I ordered them, and when I felt the fabric in my hands, I was like yaaaaaassss.

American Eagle Ripped Skater Jeans Are A ’90s-Style Dream: High-Waisted, Baggy & Comfy

These take me back to high school…in all the best ways. The loose, easy fit; the distressing; the wider-leg silhouette…all in the most ridiculously soft and comfortable (non-stretch!) fabric ever.

I’m still wearing the American Eagle shorts I called the most comfortable ever that I bought back in 2017 (ahh how I wish they’d bring those back!) and these jeans have that exact same worn-in, super soft, been-wearing-them-for-years feel that I loved about those shorts. And unlike the jeans I actually wore back in the ’90s (dear God, they’re back!), these have a high waist…so no low-rise, muffin-top problems. They don’t have any stretch, but because the fabric is so soft, they’re super comfy and don’t feel uncomfortably rigid at all.

I also have to mention how good this bodysuit from Express is. It’s double-layered (so you could go without a bra) and stretchy and comfy. It’s the perfect layering piece: I love the high neckline and how a bit of skin can peek through when wearing a sweater over it. It’s one of those pieces I’ve found myself wanting in every color. (It does come in a lot of pretty colors, too.)

The jeans are currently on sale for less than $45 so they might not last long. So snag them if they’re giving you allll the feels — my inner ’90s kid is SO HAPPY right now.

jeans: American Eagle Skater Jeans – I sized up to an 8, per reviews, and they’re perfect. (They also come in a non-distressed version different lengths for the right fit.)

bodysuit: Express Body Contour Double Layer High Neck Thong Bodysuit – This one comes in a ton of colors – many on sale right now, and is super-flattering and comfortable. I love it with high waisted bottoms.

cardigan: My Everlane cardigan is sold out, but Good American makes a super-similar one that’s currently on sale for $41! I love the cropped length with high rise jeans.

boots: Vagabond Shoemakers Brooke Chelsea Boot (more sizes more sizes here) – I love the platform soles and high shaft of these boots…much more comfortable than ones with high heels!
