This JOY graphic tee was a go-to for me this holiday season. But it’s definitely one you can get away with long after the holidays, too. I’m hoping to wear this one well into 2021 (because we could all use a bit more joy, right?). At first, I tried it with a fancy skirt, but hmm. It wasn’t getting me there.
Combat Boots & A Moto Jacket To Give Jeans & Graphic Tee Life
Honestly, it all came down to the fact that a new pair of combat boots (ones I had been patiently waiting for) were dropped on my doorstep literally an hour before I got these pictures taken. It was basically a miracle..one that I could not ignore.
ALSO, my friends — these jeans. These jeans, these jeans, these jeans! I had a pair of them a while back, and they quickly became a favorite of mine. Why? Oh, my. How does one express how good these jeans are? One really cannot, but I will try. (Yeh, I just love to rhyme on cue sometimes.) They are stretchy, comfortable, flattering.
I hesitated a second when it came to what layer I should pop over top, thinking that my faux leather moto jacket would make it all too…uh…Motorcycle Chick. I went with it, though, and HOT DAMN. I got down with it! All of it was even better when I added in some sparkly, waterfall earrings.
I was feelin’ myself.
t-shirt: 1901 Joy Graphic Tee (TTS, wearing small) – this tee is a fun, easy way to spread some joy all year ’round.
jeans: Madewell 10-inch Roadtripper Jean – FYI: I am between a 4-6 in jeans…and have found that a size 27 in Madewell jeans are fit the best on me. I have had the Roadtripper jean before! (take a peek back at this post) I loved them then and I love them now. This new pair has a slightly different wash and I think the side seams are more prominent, which I like the look of. They are a very comfortable and flattering jean. I highly recommend!
boots: Sam Edelman Lydell Mixed Media Combat Boot (TTS) – I included these in my Black Friday Wishlist and did, in fact, end up getting them. They fit well! I was worried that the stretchy bit on the sides would make them feel weird on…or wouldn’t hold my foot properly, but I haven’t found that to be the case. Also, while being a combat boot, they are not clunky. I have really enjoyed wearing them.
jacket: BlankNYC Life Changer Moto Jacket (wearing M) – if not available in your size, check out their Basic Faux Leather Moto Jacket. I’ve had this jacket for years and wear it over and over again. I did go up in size to a Medium, in order to get a more roomy fit.
earrings: Humble Chic Waterfall Earrings – bought these last Winter…still appreciate them so much. I always find myself putting them on during this season, because they instantly bring some holiday festivity to an outfit.
sunglasses: Quay High Key Aviators – a favorite sunglass brand of mine. They aren’t crazy expensive, but the two pairs I have gotten have lasted me a long while.
