Thank you to JCPenney & ShopStyle Collective for sponsoring this post.

I’ve long been a fan of dressing up jeans with a fancy off-the-shoulder top and statement earrings. I mean, it’s an outfit combo that’s pretty much foolproof: perfectly casual, but just a little extra. (Which is kind of perfect for this fall since last year was basically the opposite of fancy.)

I found the cutest off-the-shoulder top at JCPenney recently and was happy to discover that not only did they also carry it in plus size, but ALL of the cute tops I was looking at were available in inclusive sizing — xs-5x, to be exact. So I thought I’d round up some of my favorites, along with some pretty amazing statement earrings to go with them — all at budget-friendly, affordable price points.

Elevated & Affordable: Levi’s + Off-The-Shoulder Top + Statement Earrings

I couldn’t resist this gorgeous brown color; it gives me all the fall feels. I love the way the ruffle at the top stands out, too. It stays in place without flopping over and the matching cuffs make the sleeves billow out beautifully. I’m wearing a strapless bra here, but a bralette with skinny straps would also work (and how perfect is that caramel cafe color?)! I added these fun fringe earrings in a matching tone and my favorite style of sandals to top it off. Oh and these jeans?? LOVE. (See below.)

I have to say that I LOVE these Levi’s jeans. The high-rise kind of sucks you in (and prevents any muffin top) while the bootcut opening creates such a leg-lengthening look. The fabric is soft with just a bit of stretch — enough to make them comfortable to move around in, but not so much so that they get baggy after wearing. They’re a great alternative to bigger flares or the cropped jeans that are everywhere right now. They come in a bunch of colors and in a 32″ (regular) or 30″ (short) inseam. (I’m wearing a 29 regular in lapis speed. I sized up because the 28s were too tight!)
