It’s cooling off up here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but I keep hearing about how HOT it is almost everywhere else. And although I do love pumpkin-spice season πŸŽƒ, I have to admit I’m jealous of the long summer some of you are having.

So, whether you’re experiencing 60-degree weather (raises hand) or sweating it out in the heat, here are some everyday outfit ideas for September.

Hot & Cold: 6 Everyday Fall Outfits That Work For Cool & Warm Weather

We did have some insanely high temps last week, but as I write this, it’s cloudy, cool and rainy outside. I’ve worn everything from jean shorts over a swimsuit to scarves and sweaters in the past 10 days. Cheers to fall!

Fall Outfit 1: Cropped Jeans & A T-Shirt

This Caslon T-shirt has been a TME favorite for years. Made from 60% cotton and 40% modal, it’s soft and on the thinner side, so it’s perfect for layering. (It also comes in a V-neck…I’m wearing the U-neck here.) These cropped jeans from Good American are perfect for the transition from summer to fall (I’m wearing them with boots in the cooler weather), and they’re currently on sale!

**Not on sale is the Marc Jacobs tote bag that goes basically everywhere with me, but it’s 100% worth the investment. I’m loving the Wolf Grey or Cherry colors for fall.

Fall Outfit 2: A Cropped Blazer & Wide-Leg Jeans

This cropped blazer from H&M is one of my favorite pieces right now, and it’s under $35 β€” and at that price, I’m thinking I might need to pick up the black as well. These Good American Palazzo jeans have been my go-tos for a few years now, and they’re currently on sale in a lighter wash. (The fit is especially awesome on curves.) And I can tell already this bodysuit is going to be one I wear on repeat throughout the fall and winter…it’s an easy layering piece that looks just as good on its own.

Fall Outfit 3: A Mini Dress & An Oversized Blazer

I’ve been wearing this Free People Blazer since spring, and it’s perfect for the transitional weather right now. Layer over a mini dress in the heat or over some flare jeans when it gets cooler. (And this Cult Gaia Ark bag dupe is one of my favorites β€” I’m carrying the small size here, on sale for $30 after coupon!)

Fall Outfit 4: White Pants & A Ribbed Tank

White pants after Labor Day? Yes. Especially when they’re this comfy and not see-through like most white pants. But if white isn’t your thing, these exact pants come in black (25% off too!), so you can still enjoy the breathable linen fabric. These are a great option for the office during warmer fall days.

Fall Outfit 5: Soft Cargo Pants & A Lightweight Cardigan

These PAIGE cargo pants are 98% Lyocell, a suuuper-soft and sustainable fabric. Every time I see something is made from Lyocell, I know I’m going to love it. These run about a size big (I’m wearing a 27 here and am usually a 28), but I do like the somewhat-slouchier fit.

And speaking of slouchier fit, that’s what I love about this Splendid cardigan β€” it can be layered over a deep-V cami and buttoned for a sexier look or left open and layered over other shirts. The fabric is a lighter weight and cool to the touch…perfect for summer-to-fall outfits.

Fall Outfit 6: MOTHER The Weekender Flare Jeans (With Anything)

MOTHER Weekender flare jeans are my favorite fit of denim β€” ever. The rise, the flared leg, the washes and fabric…these are the jeans I come back to again and again. I wear them with pretty much anything and everything from oversized sweaters to bodysuits. My go-to look is pairing them with a silky button-up blouse and adding some delicate gold jewelry. LOVE.
