For about the past year or two, UGGs have been coming back full force. Like…impossible to get your hands on before sellouts.
I think a lot of us can say we’ve owned a pair at some point, right? They’re just undeniably comfortable. (I remember how special I felt getting my first pair in grade school. That was gold.) But I’ve noticed a huge resurgence in a different way — UGG boots with wide-leg pants and blazers and…skirts?? I remember when it was yoga pants, leggings, skinny jeans or nothing. Ha.
(And, oh, yes — they’re back in stock at Nordstrom).
Mini UGG Boots Are Back: 5 Fall Outfit Ideas That *Don’t* Include Leggings
I’ve been inspired to see how I can style the coveted mini UGGs for fall with other silhouettes we’ve been loving in 2023 (and I’m tempted to grab them before they sell out again). This trend isn’t going anywhere, guys.
There are three pairs of UGGs for each outfit — so, choose your fighter. The classic UGG Mini’s in Chestnut, the UGG Ultra Minis also in Chestnut, or the pair in the NSale that we kinda all love: the Mini Classic booties with a zipper (in black and brown). But those platform UGG boots are calling my name too, so I rounded them all up below.
PSA: I’d still totally wear these with leggings and yoga pants.
UGG Outfit 1: A Graphic Crewneck + Leather Bomber Jacket
Has anyone seen those pictures of Princess Diana in her graphic crewneck sweatshirts? I couldn’t help but think that in 2023, this is how she’d style it. Her street style always felt realistic but still cool, and I think that’s exactly what I’m going for here. And comfort too, of course.

NOTES: I’ve been seeing a ton of blue jeans styled with UGG boots and to my surprise, it totally works. Anything baggy at the bottom, like the Good American wide-leg jeans styled above, works best. I’ve had my eye on a brown bomber jacket forever at this point, and that one from Pixie Market might just be the best I’ve found so far. As for the Abercrombie crewneck…I’ve been getting into this academia, collegiate style going around (which I never thought I’d say). Abercrombie has a whole vintage archive collection that gives this same vibe. I’m slightly obsessed.
UGG Outfit 2: A Cozy Matching Set + Trench Coat
If you take out the luggage, this would still be an outfit I’d wear any day. But I do think it’s kinda perfect for traveling in comfort. Wearing UGGs and sweats might seem fool-proof, and not one of those Ah-ha! moments, but we make it a little elevated over here.

NOTES: One of the easiest ways I wear my cozy loungewear, but make it look like I tried? Pop a nice jacket (like that gorgeous NSale trench coat) over it. (P.S. Avec Les Filles makes some of my favorite jackets that I’ve had for years.) The adidas sweatshirt and sweatpants matching helps too. Your outfit instantly looks thoughtful and not like you just rolled out of bed. (Although I rock that look often too.) And can we just take a quick moment for the Free People pickleball hat? Never played it, but I obviously still need that hat. Green and cream is my favorite color combo at the moment.
UGG Outfit 3: Denim Overalls + A Cropped Puffer Vest
Denim overalls are one of those pieces that will never go out of style in my mind. I’ve never seen someone wearing them where I thought they didn’t look cool in an effortless kind of way. Something about them feels vintage yet timeless. Just put on a long-sleeve T-shirt for warmth and add in a cropped puffer vest for some interest. I’m allll about the cropped puffer vests right now.

NOTES: I’d probably cuff my overalls like you see in the picture above, and just let them hang however they want above the UGG boots. I’ve heard great things about the SKIMS tees, so I’m itching to try out that long-sleeve. I think it’d lay perfectly under the overalls. And another moment for the Free People hat (I’m in a hat phase). I love the color combos yet again.
UGG Outfit 4: A Tan Blazer + Blue Jeans
This is an outfit I’ve been meaning to re-create for a while. I’ve seen people out wearing blue jeans and a tan blazer with their UGGs, and I’ve never failed to give an “Ooo” (silently to myself). The blazer definitely doesn’t need to be the same exact shade of tan or brown as the UGGs. In fact, I think it makes it more interesting if its not too matchy-matchy since the outfit is already pretty simple.

NOTES: I’d go two ways with the jeans for this outfit. I’d opt for either the straight-leg jeans from Abercrombie (they call them dad jeans) and let them slightly tuck into the UGGs, or I’d go totally wide-leg with the Veronica Beard jeans and let the hem pile up over the boots. I’ve found that the white tee underneath matters. Abercrombie nails it with the ribbed tee — something more fitted with a higher scoop-neck is exactly what I’m going for. It just looks fresh and chic. Gold accessories pull it all together.
UGG Outfit 5: A Brown Cardigan + Black Crop Top
I used to have an unspoken rule with myself that black and brown do NOT get mixed in my outfits. So much for that. I was so wrong. I actually love mixing black with warmer-toned browns now. It makes the look a little softer. I couldn’t decide if I love the all-neutral moment with the black jeans or if I love the blue denim maxi skirt more. I still have yet to decide.

NOTES: Now, I think the brown-and-black Mini Classic UGG boots go with this outfit seamlessly. But I have to say, the tan works too. I swear. Something about black tops contrasting with tan boots just looks good. And I think bringing in the gold accessories, a brown-&-cream bag and tortoiseshell sunglasses helps pull it all together. Make sure to click and look at other views of that Good American maxi skirt. It has a slit in the back, so there’s plenty of breathing room for the UGG boots.
What do you guys think? Are we on the UGG bandwagon?
