Well, this is lucky. Very rarely do my favorite things get restocked, yet here we are. AGOLDE’s Parker Cut-off shorts — in the Vintage and the Long version — are back. My tall self rejoices!
Oh Hey, AGOLDE Cut-Offs — My Fave Jean Shorts Are Back!
I bought them last year and while I questioned if they could be as good as my other favorites (*cough* Levi’s), they soon became the outfit staples I grabbed more often than not.
Now, let me break them down a bit more for you…(I am all about bang-for-your-buck).
1. AGOLDE Parker Vintage Cut-Offs
The Parker Vintage shorts initially reminded me of my favorite Levi’s cut-offs, with that ever-so-classic, casual distressed look. However, I came to appreciate the AGOLDE pair for their difference (they wear as if they have already been broken in, so softer…more relaxed,) whereas some denim shorts require a committed set of deep squats to loosen up a bit. Not these! It may be a subtle difference to some, but to me, it proved to make them worth the cost.

I found that, because of the ease of wear, it wasn’t compulsory for me to tug and mess with the AGOLDE cut-offs. You know that awkward wedgie feeling that denim shorts can give you? It makes me feel like they’re too short, when in actuality, it’s not the length at all, rather, it comes down to the feel of the fit + fabric.
The Parker shorts feel delightful on, which makes them a favorite of this tall gal (coming in at 5’11, FYI).

2. AGOLDE Parker Long Denim Shorts
I ordered this pair, purely because I was curious as to whether there could be a longer cut-off that hits the mark for me. The Mark being…Super Relaxed, yet Expertly Cut. The thing I’ve noticed about long denim shorts is that they can feel a bit too boyfriend-ish and slouchy…and I like a more fitted feel. The AGOLDE Long Shorts did surprise me! They manage to deliver on the casual, loose feel I’d hope for in a longer cut-off, while also being more tailored in the waist and hips…basically, it doesn’t hang. These shorts seemingly accentuate the things I want shown off. *cough cough* For instance, the bum. (I do love when it’s highlighted — haha).

So, this pair didn’t get put in the Returns Pile, either…and were pulled on regularly, all last summer.
FYI: As a tall one, I would consider Levi’s Mid Thigh 501 Cut-offs, as well. They are 2 inches longer, though, so I assume the right shoe would be crucial. Heels, maybe? hm.

Yep. I’ll be wearing these AGOLDE shorts on repeat all spring & summer long.
Thanks for reading!
