I’ve been staring at the same Free People items online for over a year now. I’m talking about pieces like the Pippa Packable Puffer, the (almost-cult-favorite) Hit The Slopes Fleece Jacket, the Hailey sweater set and a bunch of workout gear/loungewear. So, I put in a big order (and threw in a few cool tops and shoes while I was at it) to see if these pieces were, in fact, as good as I had hoped — and to try and figure out SIZING.
Free People Try-On & Review, Ft. Comfy Loungewear, Fall Jackets & More
True to form, Free People’s jackets and sweatshirts were the standouts — all in colors I actually am excited to wear, with fits that are both practical and very, very cool. Well done, FP.

Below are the pieces featured in the video (and I tried to put them in order of appearance). I also included links to other retailers for ease of shopping. If you care. 🙂
What Did I Keep?
While I personally found the loungewear to be hit-and-miss, the socks were an unexpected gem, and the shoes were a total win. In fact, I think Free People has one of THE BEST sneaker selections around. Totally worth a look.
Here are a few outfits I’ve been wearing on the regular…
Outfit 1: Puffer + Ballet Flats
Outfit 2: Bright-Blue Sweatshirt + Sneakers
Outfit 3: Fleece + Sneakers
“Outfit” 4: This Random Thermal
While the above thermal can hardly be considered an “outfit” on its own…I really liked this top. It’s surprisingly warm on its own, the colors are gorgeous, and I like the peek of bra and how it tucks into high-rise jeans. That said…mayyyybe size up at least one size if you want it to fit like the model.
But overall, not a bad try-on, right?
Hey, hey, Pinners. We didn’t forget about you!
