I don’t know about y’all, but I adored Camille’s whole vibe in “Emily In Paris” way more than Emily’s. That’s just me. (Sylvie also — gah, amazing.) I love the feigned effortlessness of the French woman’s wardrobe.
And while this little capsule is heavily inspired by Camille and my idea of the casual French woman, it’s also meant to serve as a collection for wearing here in our everyday lives (that aren’t in Paris).
The little nods to France and the magical city are obviously pieces I’m never expecting to see on an actual French person, but worn here in my little pocket of the world, they help me dream about someday floating around the streets of the City of Light. It’s a vibe I adore and continue to be inspired by year after year.
Want a few top picks to add to your wardrobe for an instant French vibe? Chanel-style flats (or try to snag a real pair here,) a navy blazer with gold-button details, a striped tee and a structured purse.
Add A Touch Of French Flair To Your Spring Outfits: A Capsule Wardrobe
What I love about casual French-inspired clothing for spring is the mix of classic, sporty, femme and slightly flowy items. There’s just enough of a feminine sparkle in some of these clothing pieces…making me feel prettier, fancier — and, OK, more French — when they’re mixed in with my existing slightly sportier wardrobe. I tend to lean a little more femme in warmer months in my outfits, and I get so excited about that for spring!

1. A Lady Jacket: J.Crew Contrast Trim Sweater-Blazer

This chic sweater-blazer from J.Crew would be the perfect spring layer. And because I’m LOVING this trend right now and finding quite a few (so much sadness the one I have already sold out), here’s a little roundup of more “lady jackets”…
2. A Graphic Tee, En Francais: MOTHER Belle De Jour T-Shirt
Love the Tour de France vibes I get with this crewneck graphic tee from MOTHER.
3. A Striped Tee: MOTHER Striped Crop T-Shirt

T-shirt (M)
This striped tee from MOTHER is SO freaking soft. I love it. I’m living in it, and it looks so cute under a blazer or jacket. I sized up to a medium for a little more length.
4. A Paris-Inspired Top: Anine Bing Ramona Sweatshirt

sweatshirt (M)
These Anine Bing Ramonas are the best fashion sweatshirts for wearing with cute outfits…instead of just for loungewear. It’s so cute worn slouchy with the sleeves pushed up. The fabric is quality cotton but not fleecy inside, so less hot for warmer spring months.
5. A Blazer With Bling: Lioness Palermo

blazer (S)
This Lioness blazer is one of my all-time favorite blazers. I love the slightly shrunken look. I tried the size up, and it doesn’t have the same vibe at all. So, TTS for this kind of fit.
6. Chic Slouchy Trousers: Everlane The Way-High Drape Pants
These wide-leg trousers from Everlane would be so cute with one of the cropped blazers and any of the shoes.
7. A Satchel-Style Purse: Coach Leather Domed Bag

My satchel purse is an older Rebecca Minkoff Poshmark find, but I just got it a couple of months ago, and I’m loving this trend! The Coach option here is SO classic, and I love the domed shape.
8. Gorgeous Sunnies In A Pretty Shade: Quay Call The Shots Sunglasses
This pretty shade of peachy pink on these Quay cat-eye sunglasses is perfect for spring.
9. On-Trend Pearls: Monica Vinader Drop Frontal-Hoop Earrings
Pearls are in, and these freshwater-pearl earrings from Monica Vinader are pretty, feminine and wearable.
10. A Signature Scent: Le Labo Rose 31
I adore Le Labo. I wear the Santal 33 in the winter and fall, but the Rose 31 eau de parfum would be lovely for the spring months!
11. Classic White Sneaks: Tretorn Nylite Bold Platform Sneakers
Tretorn sneakers are the epitome of classic preppy sneakers to me, and this bold style with the platform sole is even more on-trend and goes great with wide-leg jeans and full-length trousers.
12. A Light Spring Coat: Old Navy Double-Breasted Trench
I see you, Old Navy! This is a great lightweight trench coat — LOVE this peach shade! Throw it on for actual rain or just as a light spring jacket. ASOS has a lovely option too.
13. White Jeans: Veronica Beard Taylor High-Rise Wide-Leg Pants
There’s nothing like an outfit with ivory jeans to make it feel fresh for warmer months, and these wide-leg jeans from Veronica Beard look amazingly well-made and wearable.
14. Wide-Leg Blue Jeans: MOTHER The Lasso
Lovely blue-wash wide-leg jeans hint at a casual trouser vibe, and are so perfect for spring with the tops and jackets here. Wide-leg jeans look great with all the shoes included here too. And you know we love a MOTHER denim moment!
15. A Gold Chain: Jenny Bird Convertible Necklace
This pretty gold-toned chain necklace from Jenny Bird converts to a bracelet too!
16. A Tailored Top Layer: J.Crew Cropped Blazer

I love an oversized blazer too, but a cropped blazer is so stylish and chic. I love the lighter shades for spring and summer, plus the tailored look this gives is so chic.
17. Fabulous Booties: Isabel Marant Suede Ankle Boots
I’ve wanted this pair of Isabel Marant ankle boots forever and finally snagged them. They’re gorgeous and just have beautiful lines, but are still walkable and easy to wear. They fit under my straight-leg jeans and look amazing with dresses too. TTS and lovely.
I’ve searched for a similar pair at a lower price point, but sadly nothing quite compares. This pair from Sam Edelman is a good suede-ankle-boot option.
18. Gorgeous Flats: FSNY Chanel-style Flats
Chanel flats are definitely having a moment! This pair from FSNY (have you tried its flats before? So good!) is very similar, adorable, comfy and walkable.
19. D’Orsay Pumps: AGL Nadine Pointed-Toe Heels
D’orsay heels are my very favorite type of heel. They look beautiful on the feet and feel special and chic.
Now I’m craving a croissant and a cozy cafe with bistro chairs where I can sip a glass of sauvignon blanc and watch the day go by. The travel bug has hit, but I hope this little collection helps inspire your everyday to feel a little bit Parisian!
