Sometimes it’s good to keep it simple…go-to jeans, a cozy cardigan, a versatile utility jacket, a soft hoodie…these are pieces in my closet I know I can wear time and again.
I was stoked to realize how many great finds JCPenney has right now from some of my favorite brands, like Levi’s, Champion & Puma. And I found a ton of cute pieces from their in-house line a.n.a, too. They’re definitely back on my radar for wardrobe staples that don’t break the bank. Love.
Two Ways I’m Styling My Favorite Levi’s 501 Jeans This Season
Many of us go on and on about Levi’s 501s around here, and I’m no different. I love them. I’ve had these 501 crops for a while now so they are perfectly broken-in and comfy: so cute, sustainable, and seriously in my top five pairs of jeans of all time. I was so excited to see JCPenney carries this favorite pair! Let’s get into two ways I’ve been wearing them on repeat this season…
1. Levi’s 501s + Levi’s Utility Jacket Layered + A Champion Hoodie
I cannot resist a great utility jacket, and while I have a lighter one for warmer months, I no longer had one with a little more weight for these cool days that are upon us.
This Levi’s Utility Jacket is not only super well-made, it’s sustainably made to boot, as well as the perfect shade of olive green. It’s a really wonderful neutral to have in your closet to pop over just about any casual look. Fits true to size with room for layering.

This day was a little warm here in Portland or I would have added on some cozy socks with my cute clogs, like these. A marled sock is my favorite style to see peeking out beneath jeans.

I have always loved layering for fall and a hoodie under a jacket is the epitome of coziness. It keeps things interesting and looks great. This Champion hoodie in a cute, unique animal print is so good. It’s incredibly soft and I like the shorter length (but it’s not too cropped.)

And speaking of my cute clogs, these a.n.a jamul clogs were such a fun find. The style is really spot-on with some designer brands I’ve eyed and yet they come in at a cool $40 on sale right now! True-to-size.
I just wore them running errands yesterday, and they are so cute and comfortable. And as an added bonus, they’re vegan. They look great with baggy pants or jeans, too, and add that height needed to offset the extra fabric. I really am loving them!
2. Levi’s 501s + A Long, Cozy Cardi + A Cute Henley Tee
You can never go wrong with a cozy cardigan for this time of year, but I like to offset a cropped jean with a longer style on top. It’s a fun play-on lengths.
I’m loving the soft marled color of this cardi, again from a.n.a. I sized up to a medium to get a little more slouch and it’s great. Comes in sizes XS – XXL in regular and petites.

I feel like I’ve been hunting for an easy, wearable henley top for a while now and this one totally fits the bill. It’s soft, fitted but not too tight and has a flattering neckline. I will be wearing the heck out of this under all my cardigans this fall and winter.
It comes in a few colors and at this reasonable price point I’m definitely adding the black to my closet next (ooh, and probably the cherry mahogany color too). The fit is just slightly large, making it super-comfy in your true size. Wearing a S. It’s also offered in XS – XXL in both regular and petites. A really fab, wearable find, friends.

I wound up also finding this really cute, white sweater at JCPenney, too, and you can see it on me here. It’s so incredibly soft and creates a really great shape when on. Love it with the clogs and Levi’s, as well.
