They always have those really special pieces at Anthro that you can’t find elsewhere. I love that about them. So I ordered up two cardigans and a striped knit jacket for a mini try-on session.
3 Exciting Cardigans & Blazers At Anthro (Perfect To Pair With Jeans)
The plan was to order all three cute toppers, but as usual, I also found some jeans I had to try. Stay tuned for a more in-depth post on the denim, but I want mention: if the original Mother Tomcat jeans are too pinchy at your waist like they are for me, these Tomcat Relaxed Straight Leg jeans might be your new favs, too! Size up. I’m wearing a 29 (my typical size in Mother + 1 size up from most other jeans.) They still say Ultra High Rise on the website but actually hit right at my belly button and are a bit straighter cut at the waist (hence the relaxed descriptor), but still have that super flattering booty! (See below.) Yay! OK, let’s see them styled with the Anthro knits…
This gorgeous marled yarn cotton cardigan is making me happy right now. Not only are the colors gorgeous, but the collar is cool and flattering, the fit is perfect and the feel is so soft. Check out the back, tho!
I mean, right?! SO freaking cute. And offered in Regular, Petite and Plus sizing, as well. So happy. SO well-made. So wonderful to wear. And as Linzi mentioned on our recent team call, a great piece like this is so tricky to find all the time. Wearing a S Regular. A lovely find.
Gosh. This try-on is so tough because I just wanted to keep all the pieces. Heh. This horse cardigan is so cool! (Honestly, I am not sure I ever predicted those words would come out of my mouth.) But the collar on this cardigan, the gorgeous horse head design on the back…the shape of the sleeves and hem…it’s all good.
That collar. I’ll mention it again. The design has a throwback feel and a Princess Diana vibe I’m so here for. This beauty is also offered in Regular, Plus and Petite sizing. Wearing a S regular here.
I styled it up with my beloved high-tops, too, and I think it offers something unexpected. I’d also pair it with my coated black denim joggers, favorite black jeans or a good pair of broken-in Levi’s.
I will be honest, when I ordered this cropped blazer, I didn’t think it would be quite so cropped, but then when I styled it up, I liked! Definitely some Emily in Paris vibes here, and just fun and springy and comfy to boot. The perfect Zoom topper and so soft.
Sizing is true-to-size on this one, too, and it’s offered in Standard, Petite and Plus sizes. I’m wearing a Standard 6. Size up if you’re between or want more room at the waist/ribcage.
I liked the cropped blazer with the high-ish-rise jeans above and the tank, but wanted to try it over my favorite button down, as well. It might be that I’ve got a few too many stripes going on here, but I don’t mind it.
I typically want a little more contrast in stripe sizes for this kind of combo, so if you’re recreating maybe a true pinstripe blouse would be even better.
More Outfit-Making Knits From Anthropologie
I rounded up a few more great finds in the knits section at Anthro. All of these could be thrown over just a tee and jeans and be stunning.
I mean, so fun. And a little reprieve from all the things right now, friends. Help me decide…horse cardigan or sunset cardi?? I kinda can’t go wrong. Until next time…
