First I typed, “I’m all about wide-leg sweatpants these days,” and then…I deleted it. Because the truth is, I’m all about sweatpants (and loungewear) in general these days, and I’m not nearly as picky about the style as I’d like to be.
But I will admit that a pair of wide-leg sweatpants — not that I’ve given up on my usual joggers — is a refreshing change of pace.
Loungewear 4Ever: These Adidas Wide-Leg Sweatpants Are Exactly Right
I was perusing adidas’ website when I came across the gender-neutral Basketball Sweatpants. Honestly, I had low expectations. I’m a pretty small girl, and I assumed that these — as cool as they look online — wouldn’t be a good fit. But adidas states that its UNITEFIT system is an “all-gender fit system that was created with a spectrum of sizes, genders and forms in mind,” and I love this idea in general, so…I tried them.
Um. They’re perfect.
The rise is nice and high, and they have a slouchiness to them — modeled after old-school basketball warmup pants — that feels exactly right. The fabric is more than the usual sweatpant fleece too, and the drape is great.
These wide-leg sweatpants look great with this cropped fleece sweatshirt (a top that has now become a staple) to show off the line, and some fresh new sneaks. I want adidas Sambas (forever sold out), but I tried these Gazelle platform sneakers, which are shockingly cushy inside. Turns out, I LOVE THEM.
You’ll definitely be seeing more on these shoes, Gang. I’m really happy with this pick.
And lastly, we need to talk about this adidas sling bag. I have been low-key stalking sling bags for YEARS — I swear I like them better than backpacks — but there isn’t really anything good on the market. So when I came across this one, I was thrilled.
And yup: It does have that front pocket too. Even holds my giant iPhone with that (fairly ridiculous) case that looks like a camera.
While I love how this lounge-sesh-ready outfit came together, it’s the individual pieces from adidas that really shine. I’ve been wearing each of them a ton — oh, haha, I’m actually wearing the cropped sweatshirt (with those winter knit leggings) as I type this now.
Anyway, loungewear 4ever.
A huge thank-you to adidas to sponsoring this post! I’m a longtime fan, and I’m thrilled to find another pair of sneakers to wear besides my long-beloved Superstars. As always, all thoughts, opinions, and product choices are my own. And readers, thank you for your continued support. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and is so very much appreciated.
