New glasses, who dis?

I got some fresh specs at the beginning of the year and they’re making me want to mix everything up a bit. And by “mixing it up a bit” I mean…I’m still wearing sweats…but now I’m venturing out of the house in this amazing navy set (top & bottoms here) paired with other rad, sporty pieces. I was originally keeping the bar low, but I’m ADORING this outfit from Backcountry.

The Richer Poorer Sweatsuit + More Sporty & Fresh Backcountry Favorites

I am seriously living in this navy sweatsuit right now (pants link here). I threw on a fresh white puffer (that is so reasonably priced, friends!) and some comfy sneaker boots from Teva and GOSH. Cozy for a romp around one of our gorgeous giant parks here, but also the perfect outfit for a simple stroll around the neighborhood. Anything we can do to get moving and get outside these days…and for me, that definitely means feeling like I’m still curled up in my comfiest pieces.

The Richer Poorer Sweatsuit & More Outfit Details

Richer Poorer Sweatshirt (s): Not all sweats are created equally. These are just a fabulous weight — not too heavy, not too thin, and really well-made. I’ve already worn the set three days since getting them.

Richer Poorer Sweatpants (s): Again, such a great weight and well-constructed. True to size, but size up if between sizes in the pants. You can see they have room for a bit taller folx, too. I’m 5’4″

Teva Ember Commute Waterproof Hiking Sneaker: True to size and super comfy! Comes in a few different color options. Love these! I also have and love the Teva Ember Shearling Moc. One of my favorite slip-on shoes.

Stoic Short Puffer (s): It’s puffy, cute, warm and such a steal! The pale pink is adorable, too.

Fjällräven Kanken totepack: Such a cute versatile bag, from our fav backpack line! These seriously last forever. My seven-year-old carried one all through 1st grade, and it’s in amazing shape.

  1. Thank you so much for this post! You always come through 🙂 This is exactly the kind of ‘comfort’- but still cute outfit-y- type of clothing I like to see. I am def NOT a jeans on the weekend kind of gal (or anything tight and constricting) and love seeing all of your posts about joggers/sweats/etc that can be worn without looking too frumpy or dumpy.

Question- I have a similar pair of sweatpants from Nike with the same material combo (cotton/poly) which I love right after they’ve been washed. After about an hour of wear, they stretch out in an unflattering way due to lack of spandex/elastane and I skew towards a tragic 1989 fashion flashback. Do these fit loose/baggy to begin with? Do you notice a better quality with this brand? Thanks again.

    • Ah awesome! I’m so glad you like my comfy outfit, too. Haha. I’ve worn these for over a day straight and didn’t have much stretch-out at all. I was so impressed! I hate when that happens, too.
