OK, so, Gap is hot right now…there I said it.
The summer styles are on point, and this is #NotSponsored… This is just me getting excited about what I’m seeing. You know that when I, of all people, order a white eyelet dress, something is UP, friends.
I got stoked about trying a few Gap dresses recently, so this mini try-on sesh evolved into an article. The dresses are going quickly, but I also found a great pair of black summer pants AND a cute denim midi skirt to review too!
It’s quick and to the point, and we’ll call it a mini post about a few picks from Gap’s many amazing summer options. Let’s get to it!
Mini Gap Try-On: Button-Up Dresses, A White Denim Skirt & Gauze Summer Pants
OK, friends. So, not only did I try a few cute summer dresses, but it also dawned on me just now that they’re all also button-ups, which means nursing-friendly! Hooray! We like to keep an eye out for our new mamas around here. I got you. But have no fear, these dresses are for all of us.
And don’t miss out on these gauze pants that the whole team has been raving about! I ordered the straight-leg style, which is more my vibe, and LOVE them.
If you want to get right to the stuff I tried, here ya go.
1. Puff-Sleeve Linen-Cotton Shirtdress
This cutie shirtdress is so freaking…cute. It’s a little heavier fabric, but I think that’s what gives these sleeves such great structure.
I don’t have a belt like the model on the site, but I love tying the attached belt to the side in more of a trench-coat tie to fit my vibe better (I’m not really all about bows). Fit is true to size, and it has pockets!
2. Straight-Leg Crinkle Gauze Pants

My teammates have been raving about these cotton-gauze pants from Gap, and they did not steer me wrong. These summer pants are so comfy, and I love the straight-leg fit (more me than the flowy wide-legs).
The fit is true to size, and I LOVE that they come in petite. I’m 5’4″ and right between a small and medium, typically. Size up in these if between since you want them a little loose and not tight since they’re cotton-gauze fabric.
Oh, and this tank from my recent Athleta try-on…I LOVE. Don’t size up, though, because you want a little more support with the tight fit.
3. High-Rise Pencil Denim Midi Skirt
tee (M) | skirt (29) | sandals
I honestly didn’t know if I’d love a white skirt…it turns out I DO. Gap’s white denim midi skirt is great. Not too thin, not too restricting or heavy, and is freaking adorable with all my tops. I’ll be rocking this all summer.
I like that this pencil skirt has a small slit in front, isn’t too terribly long OR short, and fits nicely. I’m typically a 28, but for white denim I usually size up. That made this comfy on my straighter middle too, but I can easily scooch it down a bit for a mid-rise fit.
“Is it see-through?” is your next question… The pockets show a tiny bit, but not the undies! I’m totally happy with how it looks on, and I’m SUPER-picky about that. It’s so cute, I don’t care about the pockets.

4. Striped 100% Organic Cotton Shirtdress
dress (M) | boots (similar) | bag
This striped shirtdress is SO cute. I love a shirtdress but have trouble with the fit sometimes. This one is great, has pockets (Gap gets it), and is a soft structured-but-light cotton shirting.
When it comes to buttons, I typically need to go to a M for my bust, booty and ribcage to fit well. This is perfection, and I really can’t decide between this and the puff-sleeve dress above.

5. Lace Button-Up Midi Dress

Gap’s lace midi dress is so lovely. It’s not very “me” with the longer sleeve length, but if that is you, it’s seriously pretty. Sadly, the white is low in stock now, but it comes in black eyelet too!
Whew, had to get this out quickly! Gap’s selling out left and right because of all the cute stuff. As always, let me know in the comments if you have any further questions!
