But seriously, the selection so far is good. Shana and I were pretty stoked about allll the beauty options this year. A bunch of our usual beauty essentials are on sale like the best-mascara-I’ve-ever-used (Too Faced, I’m lookin’ at you). Oh, and a Drybar kit for an at-home blowout? Need. (Definitely not just a want, of course 😉).
Now, the hard part? Narrowing it all down.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 Beauty Must-Haves: Hair, Makeup + Skincare
After digging through the whole dang category (five pages of beauty goodness — just for the preview!), we landed on 21 products worth considering. We referenced some of Scotti’s top beauty picks (shout out to our in-house beauty guru) and rounded up a few more picks our editors swear by (I can vouch for a few of those too).
A quick tip from S (this isn’t her first NSale rodeo): “I’ve found that it’s important to check prices — sometimes the price isn’t actually lower, it just comes with a free gift. That said, there’s typically some game-changing beauty product in the sale.”

1. Le Labo Hand Soap
Shana says: We have this exact bottle of hand soap in our master bathroom, and I’d be hard-pressed to name anything that makes me as happy as often as this does. It’s a simple pleasure but a daily one. Seriously an “Ahhhhh” moment every time I use it.
2. Tom Ford Shimmer Body Oil
Shana says: THIS. I have this body oil and it is…without exaggeration…absolute gold. The shimmer is subtle, and it makes your skin glow. But the scent is the thing: warm and summery and sooo good. It’s based on Tom Ford’s perfume of the same name.
3. Supergoop! Glowscreen & Glow Stick
We’re big Supergoop! fans here at TME. This Glow Screen and Glow Stick set protects you from the sun and gives your skin that stunning, fresh-off-the-beach glow. As someone with the worst dry skin, I’ll take anything I can get to give me that dewy, fresh look.
4. Elemis Jumbo Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash
A ton of our team members love Elemis skincare. Remember when Linzi finally caved and tried it out? She quickly realized what all that hype was about. Not only do they have great options for all different skin types, but they have some anti-aging properties too. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just dipping your toes into some new skincare, this resurfacing face wash is a great bet.
5. GHD Soft Curl 1 1/4-Inch Curl Iron
Scotti and Shana are OBSESSED with their GHD products. My personal favorite feature of this one? The voltage auto-adjusts, so you can bring it on vacation wherever without worrying it’ll fry. I’ve had that happen one too many times and I am, quite frankly, over it.
6. GHD Black Platinum+ 1-Inch Styler
Scotti says: This platinum straightener uses predictive technology to ensure the temp is always consistent (for less damage to the hair) and creates super-smooth curls, waves or straight styles. I love mine, and this one is on sale for over $80 off!
7. AQUIS Rapid-Dry Lisse Hair Wrap Towel
A simple but effective way of keeping your hair healthy, shiny and without broken ends. Normal bath towels can sometimes be harsh on our skin and hair, but this guy right here is made with super-thin fibers that aren’t supposed to tug on your hair cuticles. And this pack comes with two to rotate between.
8. Drybar Blowout Essentials
Shana says: The dry shampoo is amazing, and I’ve heard only good things about Drybar’s hair tools.
9. Briogeo Scalp Revival Kit
Briogeo is a Black-owned business that Kat says “was founded by an incredible boss babe who has completely changed the haircare game. Her products are amazing because they are designed for a variety of hair types, which is rare to find.” Kat swears by Briogeo’s products for curls. I use this set in particular for my very-not-curly-but-very-long hair. The mask — sadly — fell in the toilet (but I did love it) and thankfully the shampoo survived. I LOVE the way it makes my hair feel. It has a slight fresh minty smell, and leaves the ends of my hair looking way less damaged.
10. Kopari Deodorant Set
A plant-based, vegan, nontoxic, aluminum- and baking-soda-free deodorant. YES to all of that. I’ve been looking for a natural deodorant option after doing my research on the ingredients typical brands have and…yikes. I did not like the Google search results.
11. RevitaBrow Conditioner Duo
Scotti says: You guys, RevitaBrow and RevitaLash 100% work. I basically had no eyebrows left after over-plucking before I started using RevitaBrow, and now I can even get away without filling them in every day!
12. RevitaLash Eyelash Conditioner
Scotti says: I had totally ruined my lashes by wearing lash extensions for years. They were super-sparse, brittle and short. RevitaLash brought them back and then some…and with a little mascara they’re nice and full and long.
13. PMD Classic Personal Microderm Set
Shana says: I love this little device. It sloughs off the top layer of skin cells for super-smooth skin and the reduced appearance of lines and wrinkles — basically the same results of a professional microdermabrasion, but for less and at home.
14. Hum Nutrition Hair Sweet Hair Duo
We’re no strangers to HUM vitamins, but these gummies have us intrigued. HUM’s Hair Sweet Hair gummies (CUTE name) have well-known ingredients proven to help stimulate hair growth (like biotin, zinc, and B12). Um, yes please.
15. Westman Atelier The Weekend Set
Kat was the first person to introduce me to Westman Atelier, a clean beauty brand. Not only is this packaging incredibly aesthetic (this is makeup you actually WANT to leave out), but Kat is in love with the quality of this makeup — she calls it “the Chanel of clean beauty.” This NSale set is all about that bronzey glow, with a tinted highlighter, blush stick and translucent highlight stick.
16. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eye Eyeshadow Pencil Set
You’ve probably heard us rave about Charlotte Tilbury everything — from the Flawless Filter to the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick, these products are worth every penny. But as always, better to snag them on sale. Now, we have our eyes on this Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Pencil Set (pun-intended). Eye-shadow sticks are the most foolproof way to quickly get some makeup on. Just swipe it on the lids, blend it out a little and bam! (We can’t all be beauty gurus like Scotti…but we can TRY.)
17. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Set
Scotti says: This Gimme Brow Set from Benefit makes it so, so easy to fill in brows. I don’t have patience with a brow pencil, so this is the type of product I swear by. I love how many shades this comes in so you can grab the perfect match.
18. BeautyBio GloPRO Skin & Hair Goals Set
Scotti says: Every single skincare product I use is more effective because of this BeautyBio microneedling tool. Shana first suggested it to me, and I’ve been using it ever since. The microneedles trigger the skin’s natural healing process and induces micro-regeneration deep beneath.
19. Too Faced Mascara
This is my all-time favorite mascara I’ve ever tried. I’ve never had naturally long, full lashes, but this magical thing has definitely helped me fake it. Scotti totally agrees, “This is the mascara I used on all my brides (and bridesmaids!). It gives insane volume, length and curl, and really gets that faux-lash look (without the hassle). It separates and defines without clumping and is easily buildable. Apply just a couple of coats to make eyes pop, or layer it on for a really dramatic look.”
20. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Kit
Scotti says: Not too pink, not too brown, this is my favorite lip liner to use on a daily basis. It looks good on its own AND with lots of different glosses and lip colors. It’s waterproof, won’t smudge or feather, and can help add a little oomph to your lips. (I have it in pillow talk medium and am anxiously waiting for the pillow talk intense as well.)
21. Nécessaire The Body Duo Set
Amy says: If you haven’t tried Nécessaire products yet, I highly recommend them. They offer clean beauty products that are climate-neutral-certified, and while they believe they have a ways to go with their footprint, they are upfront with their sustainability efforts! This is a gel-oil body wash that I love because of my dry skin. It’s especially soothing after drying out your skin under the sun or in the ocean all day!
