It’s springtime, baby. We’re pretty freakin’ excited. This fresh, warmer weather calls for pretty florals, girly silhouettes, natural textures, and a lovely dose of color (which is something I’m always into).
8 Cute Spring & Summer Dresses For A Fresh Look Now
This weather calls for pretty florals, girly silhouettes, natural textures, & a lovely dose of color. Dresses serve as the easiest do-it-all outfit for spring & summer days. (If we’re lucky.) Pair your trusty jean jacket, or even some heels, for a look that can (super easily) be dressed up or down. It’s a serious breath of fresh air and doesn’t get easier than this, peeps. (Unless you belong to a nudist colony. Sorry, was that weird?)
I’ve put together eight warm-weather dress looks to get a little (or a lot) excited about. I don’t know about you , but I’m so ready for some dress-related, pick-me-ups (assuming I ditch the sweats and slip into something new as the weather warms up…hopefully).
This outfit looks like a breezy spring (or summer) day. I can almost smell the blooming flowers (like, the ones on the dress), and freshly cut grass. Speaking of grass…I love the green accents, too. They’d definitely freshen up a neutral outfit while adding a little something extra. Colorful, yet soft and oh-so-sweet.
Throwing a plain tee under a strappy dress is one of my favorite outfit hacks. It adds a tiiiiny bit of warmth if you’re not ready to sport bare arms just yet, and perfectly dresses down a fancier dress (pair with flat sandals or sneaks). I’m a little obsessed with Free People’s floral maxi (featured below). It comes in three gorgeous floral combos and just looks floaty and wearable. (Just a heads-up that reviews say it runs large, so size down one or two.)
This look has beach day written allll over it. I think we can get away with raffia (that straw, textured material) starting in April and through the spring and summer months. But how about this adorable shirtdress?!? Mixed stripe prints have been popping up everywhere lately, and they feel really fresh and unexpected. It’s a bit preppy for sure, but with a laid-back vibe. Love it.
Ahhhh that adorable pink basket clutch. NEED. It comes in four really pretty colors to liven up any outfit with a bit of springy flare. This outfit is one of my faves of the bunch. I’m a huge fan of Converse with pretty much any dress ever (and in any season ever, really). The look is just so freeing, fun and like…picnic-chic? If that’s a thing.
What a sweet little dress. I love the simplicity, especially paired with white sneaks and a fun tote. This outfit is so relaxed, breathable (hello, 100% organic linen), and easy. The dress comes in four beautiful colors that I’m kind of dying to see in person. And this farmer’s market tote? SO cute. That btb Los Angeles is killing the bag game lately, guys.
Two words: Farm Rio. As a color fanatic, they are absolutely one of my favorite brands ever, because they always manage to create the most beautiful tropical prints out there (see Julieta’s most recent roundup here). Their pieces are exciting and seriously make me crave some sunshine and… summer fruits? (Random, but you’ll have to check out their banana-printed items here.) Throw on this fun one with a pair of simple slides for an easy-yet-kinda-glam look.
This one’s truly an outfit for any day of the week. It’s the LBD of spring, whether your days are errand-filled or simply lounging afternoons. Looks perfectly effortless with some Birkenstocks or sneaks and a tote (or a gorgeous faux leather diaper-backpack like this one). Pop on a colorful lip and you’re ready to soak up some April sun while looking suuuper put-together.
Bit of a pricer dress — but gah I love it. The tassels and stripes are reminiscent of a tropical vacation of some sorts, right? Wear it over a swimsuit as a coverup, or with some heels and jewelry for a flirty date night out. Insanely pretty & vacay-chic. I can almost smell the daiquiris, sunscreen and salty hair. Ahhh…
