Heyo…the chatter continues about these adorable MOTHER Tomcat jeans we just can’t get enough of. Still loving them. Still styling them up with all the things…and still appreciating the booty-view in them. (Important!)
I’ve recently been into pretty neutral pieces, and what better to go with them than my favorite, perfectly faded & distressed jeans?
3 Cute Ways To Style MOTHER Tomcat Cropped Straight Leg Jeans
At least three of us on the TME team have and love these MOTHER Tomcat jeans. They’re flirty, stretchy, AND have the perfect wash (I am SO picky about good washes, friends.) I’ve successfully paired them with clog boots and Doc Martens in the past, so this season, I wanted to style them a few more ways. (p.s. don’t miss these reasonably-priced clogs that look SO good with these jeans. Photos below…)

1. Dress Up Distressed Jeans For Date Night At Home
Valentine’s Day might look a little bit like this this year…just add fancy takeout! That’s okay because that’s actually what Pinky and I have done for the last few years anyway — with kiddo and no family in town, and it being cold February and all. It’s a cozy way to celebrate. Then we get to share a fun meal with Sienna, too. We exchange little thoughtful gifts and all enjoy a sweet family meal together, but I do light all the candles and love wearing something a little special!
These kitten heels are perfection for wanting a little feminine touch to your outfit right now without having to balance in heels. (I don’t know about y’all but I’m WAY out of practice…heh.) And this sweater is gorgeous and warm. It has some stretch and runs slightly large. Wearing a Small here.

2. Cozy Up In Soft Neutrals For A Cold Day Stroll
Oh hi, favorite jacket, you’re back in stock! You may have seen me sport this all fall and winter. I’m stoked that it’s back. It’s a fresh cut on a fleece jacket…boxy, cropped and so cute. I love it paired with these jeans, a cozy ivory sweater, and those reasonably priced clog boots I mentioned earlier. They’re made by the comfort experts (Dansko), under $200, and SUPER comfortable. Like, seriously. So good. The lining is around the upper and the footbed is incredibly soft. They’re not hard like a wooden sole clog is. They’re ahmazing.

3. Layer Tops & Cardigans For Everyday (Including WFH)
I forever love a layered look…but it’s gotta be soft and not annoying, especially right now. This plaid top and cardi are incredibly soft and comfy. And paired with the Tomcats and waterproof (yep!) slippers, I mean…This is a perfect work-from-home look and will be a great drop-off outfit, too when I need that again. p.s. This cardi is super cute on its own when half-tucked and worn with this stacked necklace set, (which I’ve had for a year and adore).

Happy neighborhood strolling and basking in cozy days at home, y’all. We’re hoping for at least one snow this winter here in Portland. (But not on my birthday, Feb. 9th, please!) Doing my best to channel all the hygge vibes and happily curl up with a good book these days.
I’m creating quite the reading list for this year, since I somehow got out of the habit and have now voraciously re-entered the world of great books. I’ve already finished five this month, haha…the most recent being Where The Crawdads Sing, so good. Also finished Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey (do that one on audio), Midnight Sun, The Water Dancer and Such A Fun Age. All I can highly recommend. If you’ve read one recently you adore, please share below!

Oh hey, Pinners…
Those Tomcat jeans have been in my Nordie cart for ages but I am having big trouble pulling the trigger!! Thanks SO much for pushing yet again on them! Hahaha! Just finished the very compelling, easy-reading and thought-provoking American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. SO good. The Vanishing Half is another good one.
Haha…I hope you love them! Ooh just finished The Vanishing Half. So good! I’ll have to add American Dirt, thank you!
Definitely read American Dirt – it was so good.
Did you size up one or two in these??
Thanks for the second on that! I sized up one size in these.
I also recently finished Crawdads, Greenlights, and Fun Age. I highly recommend “The Girl with the Louding Voice” – on audio. Amazing!!
Ooh will add. Thank you!
The mother tomcat jeans are hands down my favorite! The best Denim purchase I’ve ever made (I did score them on a 40% off Jeans Anthro sale) Love, love, love! 💕
You make everything in this post look good! I liked Such a Fun Age as well. Two other books that combine well-told entertainment with exploring social issues you might like are Deacon King Kong and Nothing To See Here.
Luster by Raven Leilani is one of the best books I read last year. Also Writers & Lovers by Lily King.
