7 Nordstrom Finds I’m Obsessed With

“Julieta!!!! What did you order?” Yells my husband as he sees another box at our doorstep….”NO SÉ,” I reply, followed by “Carajo, what did I order?”

Carajo = damn…in Colombian.

So, I have ADHD (late-diagnosed). An annoying thing that happens thanks to this job and my brain is that I end up with boxes at my front door, wondering, what, when, and why?

My Favorite Finds From Nordstrom & How I’m Wearing Them This Fall

Thankfully, I have Nordstrom (not sponsored) — which means I have free shipping and returns. Seriously, Nordstrom’s return policy is my best friend. I have a brick-and-mortar store right next door to my son’s soccer practice, so “curb returns” are my favorite. I can return things I forgot about even a year later and still get my money back. Otherwise, I’d pay return fees or keep stuff I didn’t like because I missed the dates…again. I just returned a box to a different retailer and had to pay the damn fee. GAHH.

I’m working on it, though. The environment doesn’t need another box delivered to my house. I had my first appointment with a Neuropsychologist recently, and I think it will magically fix everything. Which is not true, obviamente, but let a girl dream for a bit, ok?

In the meantime, let’s get to the meat of this post, shall we? Despite the impulsive purchases that I forget about until the box appears in the mail, I’ve gotten some recent pieces from Nordstrom that I can’t get enough of.

1. Joe’s Mia Jeans Are Flares I Can Lounge In (Or Dress Up)

Four months later and I’m still obsessed with these high-rise flare jeans. They are soft, curve-hugging, and wide enough to let your legs be free. If you want a pair of jeans comfortable to wear lounging at home, out with sneakers, or dressed up with heels, these are it. You can see how I dressed them up here, but for the most part I wear them like this:

Jeans (27, on sale!) l Fleece

They’re great for winter since you can wear them with thicker knee-high socks and tall boots to keep your legs warm.

Sizing: I’m between a 26 and 27 and went for the 27. Depending on the fit you want you can size up for a more relaxed fit.

2 + 3. Nike Sweatsuit: As Set Or Separates

Nike’s Phoenix pieces are quickly becoming my favorite sporty clothing and it started with this set.

I hate the bulky waistbands most joggers have, but these Nike Phoenix sweatpants avoid that with a wide-ribbed waistband that doesn’t add bulk to your midsection which I find to be a lot more flattering.

Beware: These sweatpants come in a regular-rise and a high-rise version. The higher rise is not good unless you’re tall. It gave me a ton of extra fabric that didn’t look nice, so I kept the regular-rise pair, which in my opinion also has a better hem.

While very cozy worn as a set, I’m more of a mix-and-match person so here are outfit ideas with the pieces each on their own:

4. More Nike: Wide-Leg Sweatpants

Similar to the sweatpants above, these Nike Phoenix Wide Leg Sweatpants have the same flattering waistband but with a wide-leg cut. They are the newer and way better version of the old Palazzo pants.

Sizing: These sweatpants run big so I recommend sizing down. I even dried them at a hot temperature to slightly shrink the length.

5. A Farm Rio Button-Up Adds Color & Joy To My Closet

Last year I got a Farm Rio printed button down and I wore it over and over in 1000 different ways during the spring, summer and early fall. However, once the cold weather hit the print felt too summery and I didn’t feel good in it. Lucky for me, Farm Rio makes the most beautiful cold weather prints like the one I’m wearing below. Every color is in my color palette!

You can wear the Rainforest Button-Up casual with jeans, but it’s great for the office with a pair of plum, brown, black, or navy trousers. I’m planning on wearing it with a mini skirt and boots, and wide-leg pants and jeans.

6. Classic White Sneakers Go With Everything: Tory Burch Footwear

These are the sneakers I’m wearing all throughout this post. I cannot not have a pair of classic white sneakers in my closet. Whenever I don’t know how to wear something with sneakers, white sneakers are usually the answer. These Tory Burch sneakers have been my go-to’s to wear with flared or wide-leg jeans, skirts, dresses, sweatpants, and more.

I have the ivory pair on the right, but it comes in other shades of white, with the back detail in more colors.

7. Comfy Heels: Naturalizer Dress Pumps

It seems that after the pandemic — being barefoot or in comfy shoes, 100% of the time — my feet got wider, and my favorite Italian pumps by AGL are too small. Lucky for me, the Faelyn Leather Pump from Naturalizer’s 27 Edit line is a very similar shoe for a fraction of the price. A successful ADL dupe!

While all my friends were changing into flats, I was fine with my Naturalizer low heel pumps. AGL dupes!

I’ve already worn them out dancing two Saturdays in a row. They successfully passed the test; while all my friends were changing into flats, I was fine with my pumps.

I just realized that aside from the button-up and heels, I’m in a very comfy, relaxed season. And I’m not mad about it. What are you wearing the most right now?

Besos,

Julieta
