3 Ways To Wear A White Button-Down

I love wearing white. White tees, tanks, sweaters, dresses, and of course — white button-downs. A white button-down can elevate any outfit. They are an absolute staple for every wardrobe. I typically buy my classic white pieces from Madewell, however, this gorgeous white button-down boyfriend shirt was a great find from Lane Bryant.

When it comes to finding a good white button-down, I like for them to be made from wrinkle-free material. I actually don’t own an iron, and I find this to be a huge time saver for my on-the-go days. There is nothing more classic than wearing your button-down as is. Untucked for that effortless street girl style. Not only does this look great with jeans, but you can also easily throw it on over a slip dress, and pair it with a fun chunky block heel and some gold jewelry for an elevated casual brunch look.

2. The White Button-Down Tie Trick (I Learned This From TikTok)

Ever since lockdown I have become obsessed with TikTok and have watched many many videos for more hours than I can count! On one of my many TikTok benders, I came across someone transforming their basic button-down into a cropped tie front top. The trick is to unbutton the bottom three buttons, tie a loop and then button the bottom button and loop together. It easily transforms your look, and is my personal favorite for that cropped moment.

3. White Button Down With A French Tuck

There are a variety of ways that you can tuck your white button-down, and my typical go-to is the Tan-approved French tuck. But lately, I have been seeing so many people wearing their white button-downs with this partial tuck option. It’s definitely not for everyone, but I personally feel like it’s the trendiest way to wear a white button-down right now.
