When you live somewhere as cold as I do, you need to come up with…creative ways to pull off a “sexy” winter look. (Ha. Sexy and winter.)
I used to wear little sequin dresses when we’d go out and just commit to freezing, but…yeah, I’m not doing that anymore (going out, that is — wearing sequin dresses will never change).
I also don’t want to be totally bundled up from head to toe all the time just to stay warm…I mean, sexy is a cornerstone of my personal style. Enter: the Sexy Turtleneck.

It’s warm, it’s comfy, it’s just a *little* sexy. It’s an easy way to show some skin when you’re prone to freezing like I am. I’ve even thrown it on over a little black dress for added warmth.

It comes in all of my favorite colors: black (obviously), ivory, camel, grey, navy and a gorgeous burgundy that’s perfect for the holidays! I’d pair it with faux leather leggings (these have pockets!) and tall boots for a comfy, festive outfit.

People love this sweater so much that it now comes in a dress version in black, camel and grey. It’s a midi length dress with a tie around the waist and slits on both sides. (I found it to run a bit big; I tried the small and the xs is now on the way to me.)

How I’m Wearing This Cold-Shoulder Turtleneck Sweater
I have to give a shout-out to one of my favorite style of jeans: MOTHER The Insider Crop Step Fray. I discovered these last year when I was trying to find jeans that worked with my Sorel wedges in the snow…these. They’re the perfect length for my 5’4″ frame and they have that same flattering fit that MOTHER denim is known for. (Check out all eight colors here. That New Years Red is 😍)

I love Rebecca Minkoff’s bags…her Julian backpack was the first “designer” bag I ever bought, and I still use it all the time (once you go hands-free it’s hard to go back). This quilted bag is perfect for fall and winter, and big enough to fit everything I need, but it’s lightweight since it’s made of nylon instead of leather. It doesn’t hurt my shoulder even after all-day wear!
