The Best Of Post-Holiday Sales: Our Top Editor Picks

Hey gang, let the post-holiday and after Christmas sales begin! We hope you’re still curled up on the couch, surrounded by loved ones. And if you’re in the mood for a little Netflix + online shopping, we have just the thing for you…

Editors’ Top Fashion Picks: After-Christmas & End-Of-Year Clothing Sales

First things first: Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly Sale is SO good that we wrote an entire article about it. So go there for our top Nordstrom sale picks (like, uh, this seriously cute striped sweater – 100% cotton, too).

Everlane’s Goodbye 2021 Event is hard to resist with up to 60% off tons of solid pieces. These white sneaks go with everything and are such a steal for under $50. You can’t go wrong with some reliable leggings (half-off, and the best part is: pockets) or an oversized turtleneck in recycled cashmere, either.

Abercrombie has been good to us this year, and they’ve dished out a winter sale featuring up to 50% off everything, plus an extra 20% off. We’ve raved about their vegan leather puffers (under $100), and Scotti loves the ultra-long version, too.

Yep, J.Crew is having an end-of-season sale, too! We can never get enough of their classic sweaters (like S’ cashmere crewneck, under $100). And let’s not forget about the denim; Meredith’s fav slouchy boyfriend jeans are 30% off. Use code: BIGSALE at checkout.

Shana’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: Saks’s Designer Sale – Specifically, Staud’s Cotton Maxi Shirtdress (xs) – Still one of my favorite purchases this year, and is shockingly flattering, especially since its debut article was called, “All I Want Are Shapeless Dresses.” The color I have is sold out, but there’s a really gorgeous rust color on sale for under $100. Would be so pretty with boots (and maybe even over a turtleneck) in the Spring/Fall, and then with flat sandals this summer.

TWO: Athleta’s Semi-Annual Sale – This sale is a big one, and I’m picking up more of Athleta’s Aurora Crop Ribbed Tanks – they’re my favorites (I know it’s hard to see in the pic, but I’m wearing size medium). And I’ll be throwing another pair of Athleta’s Salutation Stash Pocket leggings in my cart as well.

THREE: Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale – This sale is another really good one, and I’m shocked that Ref’s 100% cashmere sweater is still fully stocked! It’s one of the cutest, most flattering sweaters I’ve worn, and the color on sale is a reallllly pretty pale blue (much lighter than the one I’m wearing here). Fit is TTS.

Laura’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: AGOLDE Riley High Rise Crop Jeans** – No surprise it’s jeans, jeans, jeans from me. Don’t worry…more items below, too, but these are some favs from earlier this year (you can see 2 diff sizes compared here.) The AGOLDE Riley jeans are $60 off! I like the lighter wash that’s on sale, too. TTS. Wearing a 28 in this pic.

TWO: Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans – $62 down from $135 is REAL nice, Clark. These jeans were a more recent find, and I love the stretch and fit, and that the knee rips are above the knee so they don’t get busted out. They are great with my winter boots. Size down. Wearing a 27.

THREE: Everlane Quilted Teddy Coat – I keep checking out this lovely sporty camel coat and I think I need to just order it already. $122 down from $175 now. SO cute and unique!

Scotti’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: Stuart Weitzman Knee-High Boots – These boots are down to $299 (from $725), plus take an extra 25% off with code BOOTS25…I love them! (The bag is over 50% off and the dress is over 40% off. I LOVE the bag and have been using it DAILY since I got it.)

TWO: Abercrombie & Fitch Ultra Long Vegan Leather Puffer – I got this coat last year and this year’s version is even cuter because of the quilted design. It’s over $100 off and comes in regular, petite and tall sizes and is INSANELY WARM. Like, no wind gets through it! (The shorter version is also on sale!)

Linzi’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: rag & bone Polo Sweater and MOTHER Tomcat Jeans – This perfectly slouchy sweater is now on sale in the beautiful brown as well as the black…along with my MOTHER Tomcat jeans I’m wearing.

TWO: Everlane Court Sneakers – Marked down from $110 to $44….yes, $44!  I’ve been a fan of Everlane’s court sneakers for years. I’m wearing the older version, but the newer version has MUCH better colorways–I’m coveting the smoke/white. Made with recycled leather and other recycled materials.

Meredith’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: Asymmetrical Snap-Up Fleece – Under $40, tons of colors and styles. It’s cozy, but different from your typical fleece.

TWO: Colleen Rothschild Cleansing Balm – I finally understand the cleansing balm hype. Colleen Rothschild is offering 15% off one item, 20% off 2, 25% off three. I also recommend the retinol eye serum and eye cream

Em’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: Abercrombie Slouchy Belted Wool-Blend Coat – I can’t count the number of times I’ve worn this in the past few months. It’s come on vacation with us, been layered over all manner of jogger, legging, jeans, overalls and dresses and generally makes any outfit look both cool, timeless and intention, no matter how unstructured. The wrap style is super forgiving, and the oversized fit feels currents. Wearing an XS.

TWO: Patent Leather Back-Zip Kitten Heels – I know I’ve snuck these into the last few sales reports, but if you (like me) haven’t invested in true heels in a while, these are the perfect low-commitment, high-impact gateway heel back to real world dressing. A memory foam insole makes them super comfy, they look really freaking cute with socks and rolled straight jeans, the back zip is just edgy enough, and the heel is the perfect height. Best yet, they’re still on sale for under $40. True to size. (p.s. my dress and jacket are on sale, too!

Julieta’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: Levi’s Ribcage Straight Leg – When I tell you I wear these jeans every week, I’m not lying to you. I’ve been wearing them nonstop since late summer, and they went from cropped tops (that didn’t show my midriff) with sandals to now sweaters and boots. If you’re petite like me and want the full length look, go for the 29” inseam. If you’re tall, the cropped look is super chic.

TWO: Naadam Cashmere Cropped Pant –  This cashmere set is all I want to wear on days I want to feel put together yet comfortable. I wear it with the cropped top for a sexier look, or throw the hoodie on for extra warmth under a coat for school drop-off.

Kat’s Top End-Of-Year Sale Picks

ONE: J.Crew Terry Sun Sweater – I have recently developed a serious obsession with all things astrology. This sweater is cozy AND I love the astrology vibes!

TWO: Barbour Ashover Raincoat – The Barbour jacket I am wearing is available at Nordstrom Rack! It’s one of my favorites and I love how oversized it is. It’s lightweight and perfect for rainy, cooler weather.
