When Laura and I tried the faux jean joggers from rag & bone that people raved about, we both had high hopes…I mean, joggers that look like jeans but feel like sweatpants?? We’re IN.
Unfortunately, we were both pretty disappointed when we tried them on. They weren’t soft, the pockets didn’t line up correctly, the waistband was elastic and all the details were printed on. They were a hard pass for both of us. So when Laura sent me a link to the new(er) Liquid Miramar pants from rag & bone, we both kind of assumed they’d be a no.
But…omg-they-are-my-new-favorite-pants-I-never-want-to-take-off.
rag & bone Liquid Miramar: Joggers That Look Like Jeans & Feel Like Sweatpants

Oh my gosh, you guys, these pants are awesome. First of all, they’re made from sustainable Tencel Lyocell, a plant-derived fiber made from sustainably sourced wood that’s also biodegradable. And? It’s ridiculously soft and comfy. Because of the material, these pants drape really well and feel so silky when you’re wearing them.
Second, although some details are printed to look like denim (like the distressing and wash), the important ones are actually functional. The button and zipper are both real, and I love that the waistband isn’t elastic. The front pockets are also real; you can put your hand in them without it looking weird like the joggers where the pockets didn’t line up. The back pockets are not real, although I did catch myself trying to put my hand into them a couple of times. I’ll have to get used to that.
I would definitely suggest sizing down. I’m typically a 28/6, and although I’m a bit bigger right now (six weeks in bed will do that) the 27s fit much better than the 28s, which were super baggy and oversized.

Liquid Miramar Pants Now: With A Shrunken Cardi & Slides
cardigan (s) | pants | belt | slides
These pants are lightweight and flowy and work really well for summer, but I wanted to see if I could style them for cooler weather as well. So first I added a warm cardigan, my absolute favorite shoes right now (the only slides that will actually stay on my feet when I walk! 😍) and a belt. Perfect for the mild weather we’re having right now.

By the way, this this belt is literally nothing short of amazing. I’m used to buying cheap (non-leather) belts and wearing them for just a few times before they break or start looking old and worn. This belt will now be the belt I wear with all the things! The snaps mean it can be as big or as small as you want — you can wear it with or without belt loops and there are a bunch of different ways to style it.
Also, these shoes are SO good…I have high arches so usually straps are too tight and the slides end up just slipping off my foot when I walk, but these are incredibly comfortable. (And they come in a ton of colors.) LOVE.

Liquid Miramar Pants Later: With a Sweater, Leather Jacket & Boots
jacket (6) | sweater (xs) | pants (27) | boots
OK, so they work for summer and mild weather, but what about colder weather? I added some boots, a warm sweater and topped it off with a leather jacket. I wouldn’t wear these pants in a snowstorm, but they’ll definitely work for fall!

XOXO,

Just an observation that in product photos from Saks, the model has her hand in the back pocket. Is this a case of photoshop trickery? I read your note that the front pockets are real but the back ones aren’t.
They look comfy and to be honest, if they weren’t so so so expensive, I’d add them to my closet. I’m all about the comfy pants right now.
I ordered a pair and love how they fit. Do you find the get baggier through the day? I tend to buy the perfect fit then they stretch and I wish I’d bought the smaller size.
