I fell HARD for Reiss’ knee-high boots during this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I totally wasn’t expecting to walk away with any knee-high leather boots this year (I’ve been on more of a chunky-lug-sole, ankle-boot kick lately), but as soon as I tried them on, I was hooked.
These boots have made every single outfit I’ve tried look so incredibly chic and put-together. Although they are a little pricier than most shoes I’ve bought in the past, they are well worth the investment because, as you’ll see in this post, I keep coming up with so many different ways to style them. I’ve already convinced myself that I have to keep them and I’m pretty sure you’ll be convinced you need a pair of slouchy knee-high boots in your forever closet as well.
An Unexpected Fave: Slouchy Knee-High Boots (+ Fall Outfit Inspo)
From wool coats to maxi dresses to midi skirts to oversized sweaters — there are so many different ways to style a pair of slouchy knee-high boots this fall and beyond! The outfit ideas just kept coming. Keep scrolling for 12 ways I’ll be wearing my favorite Reiss boots as the weather cools down.
1. With A Plaid Collarless Coat & Light-Wash Skinny Jeans
This gorgeous blue-plaid collarless coat by Bernardo was another one of my favorite finds from this year’s Anniversary Sale, and the brown tones throughout really make it the perfect coat to pair with these Reiss boots. I completed the look with a pair of light-wash, distressed Levi’s 501 Skinny Jeans (also from the #NSale) and a ribbed knit tee.
2. With A Slouchy Blue Cardigan & White Skinny Jeans
3. With A Moto Jacket & Black Skinny Jeans
I love a good motorcycle jacket and needed a tan option in my closet this year, so I wound up keeping this ridiculously luxe cropped AllSaints Suede Biker Jacket. It’s gorgeous in person.
4. With A Gray Knit Cardigan & Matching Skirt
I love a good combo of a ribbed-knit midi skirt and knee-high boots! I think it’s always a stylish yet comfy and casual way to wear these boots, and this type of look is one of my go-to outfits every fall.
5. With A Double-Breasted Wool Coat & Black Skinny Jeans
This coat was actually one of my favorite coats from last year’s #NSale, but I was so excited to find this similar style at Abercrombie this season. I love oversized, double-breasted coats — such a classic look.
6. With A Long-Sleeve Wrap Bodysuit & High-Waisted Skinny Jeans
A silky wrap bodysuit is one of my go-to tops for a night out. I love to pair it with some high-waisted, light-wash skinny jeans or trousers.
7. With A Camel Wool Coat, A Turtleneck Top & Black Skinny Jeans
Camel coats are timeless closet staple, and they just so happen to pair perfectly with these Reiss knee-highs as well.
8. With An Oversized Hoodie Dress
I recently found this little cutie of a sweatshirt-hoodie dress by AllSaints, and I’m in love. I like the sassiness of this combination, but it would also look cute with a pair of medium-wash skinny jeans underneath as well.
9. With An Oversized Tunic Sweater & Black Skinny Jeans
A simple yet effective outfit: an oversized tunic sweater, skinny black jeans and, you guessed it…my tan, knee-high boots. Also, my tan leather Rebecca Minkoff Julian backpack is practically the same shade as my boots. Perfect!
10. With A Tie-Front Maxi Shirtdress
I wasn’t expecting to love this look as much as I did! This summer maxi shirtdress by Free People is deserving of some cool-weather styling. I will definitely be transitioning this one into my fall closet.
11. With A Hooded Parka, A Tee & Black Skinny Jeans
I was immediately obsessed with this Mango colorblocked hooded parka from the moment I saw it online. This is going to be my go-to lightweight jacket for the fall — especially for hiking. So cute!
12. With A Cropped Chevron Blazer & Black Skinny Jeans
OK, I loved, loved, LOVED this cropped chevron blazer by Halogen as soon as I put it on! The fit is perfect, with a structured-and-clean fit. I will be wearing this jacket a TON this fall.
Hope you found this post hopeful! Until next time,
