Cotton Dresses | Crochet Dress (XS)
ONE: A.L.C. dresses (on sale!!) have long been some of my favorites, and this particular style (above left) is a joy to wear: super-flattering but practical too. It’s made from a breezy 100% cotton poplin, is supportive without a bra, long enough to comfortably sit in, and gives old Hollywood vibes. It’s the kind of dress that garners complements and keeps me cool, even in 90 degree heat. Mine is old, but A.L.C.’s latest version comes in the prettiest print. I typically size up one size in cotton A.L.C. dresses.
TWO: My STAUD crochet dress (above right) is tons of fun. I wore it all over Biarritz this summer, both as a cover-up over a bikini and as a dress. When not layered over a bikini, I wore a stretchy sports-bra-like bra similar to this one (in black) + Hanky Panky’s Breathe Boyshorts (also in black). You can barely see them. This dress fits a tiiiiny bit big — I’m wearing the XS (a size I haven’t worn in years).

ONE: This Pretty Dress (more sizes here). I’ve been wearing the Rails dress above as my everyday summer uniform, and it’s amazing! Great time to pick it up on major sale for next summer…it’s absolutely going to continue to be worn for hot & sticky September Philly, and will be worn again on repeat next summer. Also eyeing this classic dress with such pretty straps from Theory. So pretty.
TWO: Good full-length jeans. You guys know I love MOTHER denim, and there’s a good ankle-length pair I like in the sale, but I’m trying to branch out with brands and styles. Eyeing this pair from L’Agence since I know they’ll be nice and stretchy.

TWO: Moussy jeans are some of my favorites, and sales are THE time to buy them. This pair on sale looks seriously close to my beloved jeans I’ve had for years that’s sold out. Gah, and this wash is perfection. Size up for the waist in Moussy. They have the best washes ever.

ONE: The MOTHER cargo pants I haven’t shut up about for the past week, the pair that’s easily the comfiest pair of cargos I’ve ever worn, are in this sale! These babies are a viscose-linen blend, making them super-lightweight and soft (I find them TTS). Most cargos and utility jeans can be so heavy, but these don’t weigh you down one bit. Will be wearing on repeat allll fall/winter long!
TWO: I want every single one of Kate Spade’s beachy bags — the straw, the tweed, the leather seashell?! These would be the cherry on top to all my coastal outfits. BUT which do I choose?!

ONE: This Anine Bing Halter Top is the most gorgeous color for fall, but it’s the 100% silk composition that has me fully locked in. Such a pretty, lasting piece that could work under a blazer or on its own for date night appeal.
TWO: These Re/Done loose-fit jeans have been in my cart long enough that I get emails weekly reminding me about them, the most recent of which alerted me to their sale price! It’s a sign.

ONE: Cinq à Sept Dresses (on sale) – Cinq à Sept pieces pass the test of time and always manage to make me feel like a queen. The dress above has been in my wardrobe for almost two years, and the silk-cotton fabric is so light and breezy. I wear it year-round. This one is the newer version, and it’s made in the same lightweight cotton-silk fabric that I adore!
TWO: MOTHER Cargo Pants – The perfect white pants for the cooler weather. Wear them now with a cute graphic tee like this one and sandals, but then swap those for a pair of boots, a cozy sweater and a longline coat. Gosh, I love the bum!

ONE: I love these Sorel sandals and wore them all summer long. They’re super comfortable, and the wavy sole just adds a touch of fun to any basic outfit (read: a striped tee and jeans, aka my uniform).
TWO: These Good American Good Waist Palazzo jeans are so fun. I just picked them up in the last month and have been wearing them nonstop. I love this shape, and as always, Good American fits like a dream.
